Boo got hammered! No call. Rutgers over NW
-
NOT last four out and get a road game in the NIT!
-
1-9 in Q1 games isn’t going to get it done. Sorry. A story doesn’t save that. 3+ Q1 wins is easier to sell. They also had just 2 wins against the projected field. Their resume just couldn’t be sold as “last years champs”.

Another year and another non-invite to Maui.

With our success last year to end and this year, what’s Fred’s winning % now? Out of curiosity. -
-
Just 1 opinion here. I think it’s fairly accurate.

Of course we have to take care of business and be in a position where they can justify us… but I 100% believe they’d take Tominaga’s bubble story over another bubble team. He adds eyes, he’s a character (most love him for it too), he could go off. I said this in another thread, but Fox Spirts Basketball Twitter account did a tweet thread with basketball valentines. Tominaga was one of them. How many times have accounts like that tweeted about Nebraska basketball on a random Wednesday where we weren’t playing?

I know we have some metrics working against us, but others do work in our favor. However, these probably drop with any bad losses the rest of the way. KPI- 39 SOR- 37

Hopefully we’re the Indiana and not the Illinois of last years predictions! Lol

This is one of the dumbest things I’ve always thought would eventually change. Guess not.
-
We also have 4 wins over the projected at large field in our pocket which is pretty dang good.

Results (2/14/24): Miami lost! Xavier is basically off the bubble! Oregon St is bad. Outside of that… B1G went as expected. Big 10 Games Michigan St 80 @ Penn St 72 Iowa 66 @ Maryland 78 Non-Con Opponents Games Oregon St 61 @ Arizona St 79 Other Bubble Games Miami 60 @ Clemson 77 Xavier 70 @ Seton Hall 88 Games To Watch (2/15/24): Sneaky good bubble night on tap. FAU is clearly in but can’t afford to slip up. Wouldn’t mind that being a 1 bid league but we’d need FAU to lose 1-2 to ensure that. Memphis and Zags on that cut line and playing in games that will only probably hurt and not help. We could really use Grand Canyon to lose another to ensure they need to win conference. Wash St gets a home game that won’t move the needle with a win while Utah is a road game that won’t move their needle with a win. A loss greatly hurts both though. Big 10 Games Northwestern @ Rutgers Minnesota @ Purdue Non-Con Opponents Games Hampton @ Stonybrook Lindenwood @ SIUE North Dakota @ Denver UC Riverside @ Fullerton Other Bubble Games Temple @ FAU Memphis @ North Texas Colorado @ UCLA Gonzaga @ LMU Utah Tech @ Grand Canyon Cal @ Wash St Pepperdine @ St Mary’s Utah @ USC

Can’t speak to the past but for this year, other teams with 3-6 Q1 records Nova: 1-3 in Q3 Utah: Q3 loss Va Tech: Q3 loss TCU: Two more Q3 + Q4 games than us Oklahoma: One more Q3 + Q4 game than us Miss St: Q3 and Q4 loss
-
It’s definitely not “good” by any means. Like you said… it just isn’t “bad”. It also helps when those Q1 wins are Purdue, Wisco, etc and not some slack road game in the Big West or something like that.
-
I’m not thinking that Q1 record is a knock against us personally. The more important thing for us is the number in the Q1 W column, not the Q1 L column. Oklahoma, Alabama, Miss St, TCU, Alabama, Villanova, Utah all have the same Q1 record.

Her and Clark are perfect for each other.

lol! What happened BEFORE the game?

Big L for the Cats. His last moment of the season was mocking someone the Big 10 loves too. -
Could we win at UC Irvine and is it too late to schedule a road game?
-
When’s the last time a major media network tweeted something Huskers NOT on a game day?
-
OSU playing chess and not checkers.
-
True! No flash in the pan happening here!
-
Should MSU lose tonight on the road, you might start to really see some people giving them the side eye as an NCAA “should be in” team. They would be real bubbly.
-
I knew they were hurting, but I didn’t know they had fallen to Q4 road game hurting!
