Evidently Rutgers burned a kids RS last night in their win against NW. Not saying we should do the same, but desperate times call for desperate solutions sometimes.

This was all planned and was executed seamlessly!

Saw Hunter Sallis got ejected for getting a 2nd T after a dunk yesterday in his Chucky matchup. You can take the kid out of Nebrasketball but you can’t take the Nebrasketball treatment out of the kid I guess.

We're notable!!

There’s been many more of these close call shooting fouls. I think he was shooting but that’s just me.

Especially when about all but 2-3 teams still can dance

Sometimes spending the "most" for the "best" players isn't always going to produce the results you want though... Look at our neighbors from the south paying big chunks for AJ Storr and Coleman Hawkins. K-State is 8-11 and 2-6 and Hawkins PPG are down, turnovers are up, and shooting numbers are down despite getting a huge bag. Kansas is having a down(ish) year in the Big 12... at least by their standards. They are 5-3 and 3 games out of first. AJ Storr is averaging the lowest PPG of his career, is playing his least amount of minutes of his career, and shooting numbers are down. He's playing just 17 MPG. That's less than Sam Hoiberg. We definitely can't be one of those teams that pays an outrageous amount for little to no production. I have no doubt that we can be competitive for the top talent with our NIL, but I also don't know that we can afford to pay someone as much as Storr and Hawkins and eat their decline in production.

Let’s put something to rest right now

I also read that College Soccer might be going to a longer season and aligning under the US Soccer Federation. If so, a mens soccer team would be interesting as well. -
I think he definitely earned the opportunity to start... but that also goes hand-in-hand with your point.

There were very few games where I could find a way to sneak down into the 100 level during the Bryce McGowens year. Basketball isn't going anywhere (nor should it). Yeah, we're 12-8 and on a six game skid. I bet that poster doesn't know just how close we are to 16-4 and a possible top 5-6 seed though. -
Maybe it's false hope on my part, but I think we'll see a different team when (I hope not if)... but when we see a 13 go up in that W column. Just like a shooter needs to see the ball go through the hoop, I think we need to see a W appear. The sooner the better.

uneblinstu's postgame chatter : vol 17; ed 20-Wisconsin

underrated moment in the game yesterday. Wisconsin gave us every chance to come back at the start of the 2nd half and we failed terribly to take advantage. -

To be fair-- it always "means a little extra" playing against a former team or school you grew up around. That narrative has been around a long time and isn't necessarily just for players from Nebraska who we recruited. In terms of recruitment, it's hard to say who may have reached out to who. We don't know all of those conversations. What we do know is what players release and I don't remember our name being brought up as teams who reached out to him, but maybe we did. -
Lightning in a bottle? We’ve done it before!

Happy to help! Hopefully it gave everyone some good fun through New Years!

At least we were relevant enough that bracketologists feel our pain as well.

Save us basketball fans Husker women. You’re our only hope. I know May the 4th is still a ways off, but feels like it with how things are going on the men’s side. -

It’s a weird feeling because we hired a guy who won the transfer portal before there was one… and we can’t take an advantage. Unless we just aren’t competitive $$$ wise. -

Then you have to find a different guy to lead because you aren’t building a team on minimal transfers in 2025. -

Disagree with this take in today’s game… every team is like this. Every single one. -

If we miss the B1G tournament, conversations HAVE to be had. If we miss a post season tournament, I still think conversations need to be had. If we miss the Dance, I am 50/50 on whether conversations need to be had… but that’s going to require quite the turnaround to make an NIT.
