  1. I hate Iowa, but Franny didn’t do anything wrong in this one. He put scrubs in with 8 to go. I mean. Come on Fred and Co., you gotta play hard and outplay their scrubs.
  2. Me: “Thank God Iowa is clearing the bench. Game is almost over.” Also Me: “My God we still have over 5 minutes to go.”
  3. I’m really disappointed that we basically started at rock bottom and stayed there. While I wasn’t expecting much this year, I was expecting to be playing our best basketball right now, not the same we saw against UCR
  4. Bakari E will play in an NCAA tourney game this year.
  5. Iowa’s clearing the bench... with 9 minutes left
  6. At least there was a change this game... we came out flat both halves instead of just the 2nd.
  7. Do this and have Hoiberg draw up something to put the ball in the bucket and we might be on to something.
  8. The thing that might help Mack is that they can do the combine and return to school now. He could blow up with big time players around him. Never know, and just a thought.
  9. My first thought was Whitt when I saw this offer. However, you all bring up a good point with Mack as well and now my mind is just racing.
  10. I have been feeling this as well. This has happened multiple times in conference play and even times where we have had a lead. It's a reoccurring issue that I am worried about. Like many, I expected to lose this year, but I expected us to be peaking and playing games a lot closer right now than we did at the beginning of the year. Does this team beat UCR, UND, and SUU right now VS. earlier in the year? I'd like to be more confident in a "yes" answer than I am right now.
  11. There are times when Cross pushes the pace and I'm like "wow, that was amazing coming from someone that size." Then there are others that I'm like "oof." The nice thing is that the "oofs" are probably due to being a Freshman and he will only grow in this aspect of his game in years 2-4.
  12. Concerning thing here is that this is about the 5th or 6th conference game we could say this about.
  13. I would say that that, in terms of results, this is correct. However, I think it's fair to be concerned about chemistry this far into the year. Especially since it seems as though the biggest issue is with a PG who we hope will be here for 2-3 years. The team should be gelling at this time, not fading away. It's concerning to me, not that we are losing, but how we are losing. It's concerning to me that our PG who we want to be a leader is making the same mistakes as earlier this year. This was always a year that wins were going to be hard to come by. However, Cam shouldn't be having these problems this late in the year.
  14. Mother. Of. God. Ridiculous to have this fall into the pits of disaster. Coaches and players should be pissed.
  15. This is the most disinterested I’ve been in a season since the Barry Collier years. It’s really disappointing and I can’t imagine what the average fan is thinking. Was hoping we’d show some fight and win some games to end the year. This season is heading into Petteway last year territory.
  16. Other teams are making adjustments you say?
  17. Really disappointed in our ability to make adjustments and coming out flat after halftime. Don’t know if this is a Hoiberg or team issue, but it’s happened in games we’ve been up and down in.
  18. Starting to look like the Tim Miles era on the women’s side of things. Bad first year, lightning in a bottle NCAA tournie team, another rough year, and now can’t get over the hump. We’ll see how future years go.
  19. Bad news is that we have a long way to go to get a bid to dance. Bad losses galore. Oof. Good news is that we have the opportunity to play our way into the dance with our remaining schedule.
  20. Excuse me? That’s the worst argument ever. That’s like saying I shouldn’t try to hire the top candidate for a position that has struggled in the past.
  21. Interesting stats! Thanks for looking this up. I think that it does show that it might be the horses and not the jockey/trainers. If we're criticizing Doc for bad D, then according to these stats, we should also criticize Fred for a bad O. Much like the win/loss totals, I will reserve judgement for a few years. Obviously, if you are looking at a 20+ loss season, you won't be ranked very high stats wise in most everything.
