I was more referencing a B1G Basketball Championship tournament. No way, I don’t think, you could do a 20+ team straight bracket.

In all seriousness, I wonder if we see two brackets the larger this gets. Winners of each bracket play in the B1G championship game.

Overall thoughts after this game. 1. Appears to have good offensive spacing. Didn’t get to see him shoot it much, but he was in the right spots for a kick out. 2. Going to have to improve on the D End against quicker players. Did ok, but did get beat and got caught watching a time or two. 3. TO’s were worrisome not because they were TO, but because they were bad TO’s. Dribble off leg in post, lazy pass that got him yanked, etc. 4. Appears his motor keeps going and going which may be needed based on depth alone. 5. Overall for me it was a net meh game as Papa said above. Did some good things… did some bad things. Didn’t stand out. Did have good body language after being yanked though which is a positive sign.

From the sounds of it… Notre Dame doesn’t want to go anywhere… but will their hand be forced?

Unofficial after 4Q 4 points, 6 boards, 2 assist, 4 TO, 1 steal - Didn’t start 4th Qtr -Came in about 5:50 left - Missed his only 3 I saw - Has decent spacing on O. In the right spots and finds gaps on perimeter. - Another bad TO on a drive at a bad time. - Appears to have gotten a steal by luck. - Assisted in go ahead basket with 30 ticks left. - Got an O rebound and missed put back to win it at buzzer. Game going to OT

End of 3rd 4 points, 4 boards, 1 assist, 3 TOs Started 3rd, had a bad TO, got a rebound that the guy missed on the breakaway and he was pulled at dead ball.

Not fully focused, but I have him down at 4 points, 3 boards, 1 assist, 2 TO at half. Nice left handed basket after catching at high post FT line. Post D was OK.. got beat once but his guy missed and then actually had help D on the other time I saw. Rough 2 min stretch toward end of 2nd where he turned it over twice after getting ball in deep post.

Played nearly the entire first quarter. So appears to have good stamina. 2 pts, 2 boards, 1 assist. Allowed an offensive put back on the D end. Good body control on his basket inside. doesn’t appear to favor either playing inside or outside. Will play wherever.

Appears to move OK off the ball on the O end. Has gotten lost a couple of times on the D end, but that hasn’t affected team in negative way yet.

A few that I have a little bit of a different perspective on. Brice and CJ-- I'd have them about what I expected of them on this trip. With everyone out, someone was going to have to score the ball and those two are doing what I would expect of them in the scoring column. To me, they would be more "even" than trending upward, though not anywhere near a downward trend... if that makes sense. Overall though, this list is about where I'm at including with Eli Rice.

my biggest positive for Cale is the “making big plays down the stretch” bit. In games like this, scoring during the game could mean something, it could not. But no matter if it’s regular season or summer pick up ball, everyone knows you give that little bit extra in a close game that’s in its stretch run.

And with the amount of players out, you can’t really draw any conclusions on playing time.

Man how I miss the days when we were worried about who and who didn’t get breakfast.

These close games may also play out in our favor down the road. Teaching is how to play in a tight spot is never a bad thing.

Yep— one of those is a “well crap”… the other is a definite “nice knowing ya”

+1 Iowa game… basketball or different sport.

Yeah— my thoughts as well— like an NBA summer league player that you know will play a lot of minutes in the actual season but plays sparingly in Vegas type of thing.

Are we overlooking Eli Rice?

Roster rules are going to have to change in MLS. Teams have to focus spending on offensive players and can never focus on D too.

One of my under the radar breakout prospects this year. What he did to end the year last year was phenomenal.

What’s strange too is Lauren hadn’t been on the team for a hot minute. My take… 1. current player jokingly sends snap or text to Lauren complaining about situation. 2. Lauren tweets without knowing full context. Possibly didn’t even mean anything personally. Joke gone wrong. 3. Tweet blows up. I’m hoping this wasn’t a serious accusation as it’s really a big nothing burger. It just puts the university in a bad spot.
