Black transferred to Kansas leaving the starting center spot open and Olynyk is a top ten pick in this draft. Cool. I just copied the rosters really quick

If this is his list, then I really hope Miles is recruiting the crap out of him. In my opinion: --Nebraska offers the most of any of these schools --New arena that is already completely sold out --Top notch practice/training facilities --A chance to go up against the best-of-the-best in the Big Ten, #1 basketball conference in the country --A chance to play in HUGE games against highly ranked teams --I would imagine that Nebraska will play 7-10 games vs ranked teams next season --5 Sweet 16 teams coming to play at the new Pinnacle Bank Arena --"Dunk City" is coming to town --He will likely be able to start from day 1 --Winning an NCAA tournament game will not be "just another season", but would probably get his jersey retired at Nebraska (I think this is probably hyperbole, but I can't say that for sure) Marshall: Conference USA Memphis: Conference USA Rhode Island: Atlantic 10 (losing some of their best teams, which are heading to the "new big east") Gonzaga: West Coast Conference Keeping my fingers crossed, even though the past definitely does not set precedent for something like this to happen for Nebraska basketball. I guess, Fool me once...shame on you...fool me twice...shame on me...if the rug gets pulled out from under me on this one, then shame on me...

Isn't he talking about Memphis here?

And I don't mean that I don't think Nebraska will ever get this type of player. I actually think Nebraska has a shot at a couple of them as soon as next season. I just don't know if Nebraska is quite at the point yet that they will get these flips at the last second. I think for Nebraska to land guys like this, it will take hard work recruiting by Miles and the rest of the coaching staff to build relationships with recruits over 2-3 years. And I think they have done a good job with that for the 2014 and 2015 class. Although, I will say that I think that Nebraska has much more to offer than Memphis and Marshall at this point in time, especially considering the fact that I think he could start for Nebraska from day 1. Another thing that I think could work in Nebraska's favor is if it is an issue of Baylor limiting the schools that he could go to. I would be shocked if Baylor was threatened enough by Nebraska that they wouldn't allow him to come here if he wanted to. (I can't imagine that they study Nebraska basketball enough to know about all of the talented guys that Nebraska will have available next season) In addition to the fact that Nebraska and Baylor are no longer in the same conference, so that shouldn't be an issue stopping him from considering Nebraska either. So I will keep my fingers crossed. The law of averages says that something like this has to happen for Nebraska sooner or later...I think.

Huskers still on radar for Rivals150 guard Russell Even against some of the top college programs in the country, Nebraska remains a legitimate option for 2014 four-star shooting guard D'Angelo Russell... Link to premium content article: http://nebraska.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1508001

He actually doesn't look to be in bad shape. This video talks about him and you can see a few clips of him around the 1:13 mark: http://rivals.yahoo.com/video/recruiting-basketball/Recap-Day-2-of-NBPA-Top-100-Camp-1105234

He would fill a big need for Nebraska and would likely start from day 1. Like I said before, I would love for him to come to Nebraska, but 4-Star, Rivals100, players don't just fall into Nebraska's lap at the last minute.
-
And 4-Star, Rivals100, players don't just fall into Nebraska's lap at the last minute. I wish they did and I would love to have him at Nebraska, but it just doesn't happen
-
Because he's down to Memphis and Marshall.
-
Won't happen, but he is exactly what Nebraska needs. Would be awesome

Nick Bahe of 'The Drive' on 93.7 The Ticket
Nebrasketballer posted a topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Said he talks to Jake Muhleisen frequently. He said they were talking about Nebraska basketball and about adding FGCU to the schedule. He said Muhleisen is usually pretty critical of players and doesn't just pump sunshine and throw out empty feel-good compliments about players. Bahe said that during their conversation, Muhleisen said "Biggs, Petteway, and Pitchford are the real deal and are going to do some exciting things starting next season." I haven't personally heard a lot about Biggs, but I have heard nothing but great things about Petteway and Pitchford from people that have seen them in practice. People always seem to talk about their skill/athleticism. Next season could be really exciting. Nothing groundbreaking, take it for what it's worth. -
He said his relationship with Nebraska's coaches have them in a good spot to receive one of his five official visits. He also said that it's not really about the program. He said it's more about his relationship with the coaching staff, the school, and fan base. I think this is good for Nebraska and could mean that Nebraska isn't at the bottom of his list, even with their lack of success and post season history compared to alot of other programs.

Who do you want to open up PBA with?
Nebrasketballer replied to seaofred92's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I would imagine that it will be the first game for Nebraska. I would imagine they will want to play their first game of the season at home in the new arena. Hope it will be FGCU's first game too.
