  1. Interesting, I had a chipped kneecap right before senior year of high school. They said it wouldn’t get worse if you can handle pain but surgery you are looking at 7 weeks or so. Didn’t want to miss football so grinders through two a days limping badly it hurt so bad. Decided to have it done so I could be back for basketball at least. Turns out I was back playing linebacker in three weeks but couldn’t cut well enough to play qb. If I just did it immediately I may have been back for opener. Point is if break is similar to chip I would try to play through it if I were him as surgeory takes him out for year anyway. Probably all depends on if he can make it worse or not.
  2. I have to think Watkins makes about a five point difference due to the matchups. No team in the league besides us would i consider him to be so important

  4. Hell of a league, that big east. Soooooo deep!
  5. I think it is rather obvious this is only at the very end, if at all.
  6. I think what it is that he doesn’t know shit from apple butter the entire time and then is good at getting intel before releasing the final bracket which is what he bases his accuracy on.
  7. At least a couple other teams of concern are getting boatraced themselves.
  8. actually i should have added it as it does since played minny twice

  11. Duquesne not getting a fair shake on the officiating at all over on Facebook live. Need to overcome it.
  12. finishing it at noon eastern tomorrow at an on campus arena
  13. Watkins doesn't appear to be coming back tonight.
  14. quite a coaching mismatch unfolding here.
  15. He is back in now.
  16. Huge loss is right. He will force us to play Jordy more than we would otherwise like to. Also, if not playing, it allows Jordy to have more chance of success in his backup minutes when Roby is out.
  17. my 2 cents from the games of interest thread Michigan 29/Penn State 76 - 6pm BTN Penn St. -4 I am going back and forth but currently lean Michigan. One part of me doesn't want to play Michigan in the 4-5 game as they are so well coached. Michigan would be favored similarly to Penn St over us in that game. Within a point for sure. I think the tie breaker here is the ludicrous Q1 perception. If going to be playing equal type of team in 4-5 game it may as well be the one we are going to me more rewarded for beating in the metrics. And the fact we would be playing them both twice, that part is a wash. One possible underrated aspect of a Michigan win, is that Penn St. at large hopes would be really crushed. It might make the game Sunday just a bit easier. If we go 13-5 in the league and get a double bye, I don't see how they can leave us out. That would be absurd. So a potentially easier game to get that 13-5 is best. Not saying it will necessarily be easier, but there is absolutely no way it would be harder, and could be MUCH easier if Penn St comes in knowing a tourney run is only realistic chance. Add in the fact Penn St. is one of the teams we are competing with for a bid, and I think it is go Michigan!! After typing this out, I am more confident that is the correct answer.
  18. You might be correct. Don't think it is known yet.
  19. One good thing is that Maryland is locked on the 8 line. That is as tough as that first round game could possibly be for Michigan St. playing a well coached desperate team and Northwestern is a veteran desperate team if they were to beat Maryland. I would like to see Iowa or Minny end up playing the 5 seed if we get 4. That sets up better chance of upset IMO.

  21. Very much agree about the late in the shot clock switching.
  22. A few random takes in no particular order. 1. Indiana played really good half court defense IMO. At least against our team. The did a great job of clogging up driving lines, and making us shoot from outside. Yes, we jacked up a lot of threes in the first half. To a large extent that is what was there. It always seemed uncomfortable to get it inside, especially via the drive. Palmer was not able to do very many Palmer things tonight, and that is a credit to Indiana D. It was fortunate that we were able to get multiple transition baskets in the second half. Had that not been the case, we very well may have lost. Indiana is a pretty good team right now. 2. I was really nervous when we were down 4, and still had Palmer and Copeland on the bench. I was calling for the horses to come back in before it was too late. And then Mr. Taylor had what very well may have been a season saving three point play to cut it to to a much more comfortable one point deficit. 3. It is good to hear that those huge Indiana treys to keep coming back at us were caused by communication errors. Communication errors that were caused by them not being able to hear each other because the crowd was too loud. Trust me, if the crowd is that loud it will typically result in very good things for us. 4. We really need Watson to take a breathe and make some shots. If he does, we are so much better. 5. Not a huge deal, but I think Miles needs to be just a touch smarter when he is using Gill versus Taylor. To me, Taylor should be starting. We need Gill in the game, when we have one or two of our primary scoring options on the bench. That is when we can live with him gunning threes. Taylor makes us a much better defensive team, and we have plenty of scoring out there with our starting group. I like him in there then a little more. Again, not a big deal, just my preference. 6. We really need to work on some inbounds stuff when we have the ball along the baseline by our hoop. Just tossing long passes in to someone that are not easy, is not good enough. Other teams are looking to score off a set in those spots against us. We are merely hoping to get the ball in somehow. I am afraid this is going to bite us in the ass at a key moment, if we don't improve it.
  23. If any common sense is implemented, you are correct. If they are dumb enough to rely on the RPI and the ludicrous quadrants that it spits out, then who knows.
  24. On a neutral floor Michigan would be favored by a half a point or point more than Penn St. would be against us. In a tourney setting, I prefer to play the team that isn't super well coached.
