  1. Pretty poor late-game execution.
  2. Did Roby just check in for them?
  3. 3 fouls to get 1. That's a pretty good ratio.
  4. UCLA: Simultaneously thugs and crybabies.
  5. Well, they're battling. Just out-sized and out-quicked (and out-stooged). Need to protect the ball and hopefully make a bunch of 3's.
  6. They said she transferred from Texas A&M, whom NU beat in first round last year. She said this was a 'revenge' game. What a imbecilic thug.
  7. When you say 'work', I assume you mean 'work' Nebraska.
  8. I don't where they found the zebra crews for this tournament, but their next stop should be Midway Island. Don't let them back on the mainland.
  9. They called a foul on Hawai'i. How can that be? I was thinking maybe NU could invest in some sort of harness system so it would be easier for Hawai'i's players to ride on their backs.
  10. Apparently the Three Stooges were informed before tip-off that this was a football game or rugby match. These aggravated physical assault allowed type of games are not enjoyable to watch. I figured someone was going to get hurt - unfortunately, it was Berke with the non-contact injury.
  11. It's got to be the Runzas, right?
  12. A step slow across the board and couldn't throw it in the ocean for 3/4s of the game. Surprised they kept it within 10 +/-. Needed the effort shown late in the game for the entire game. Not going to win many against decent teams when you only play hard 15-20 minutes.
  13. Well, winning ugly is better than losing ugly. I don't expect them to shoot less than 30% very often, so good to get this one out of the system against a lesser opponent. Big positive is that they made free throws tonight which was pretty much the difference.
  14. If I were running the show, the next practice would be 90 minutes of taking shots from 3 feet and in mixed with 30 minutes of the Mikan drill. The amount of missed layups this year is mind-bottling.
  15. Apparently, Nebraska did also.
  16. Just another 5 vs. 8 road game in the good ol' B1G.
  17. Absolute travesty of officiating. Izzo effect in full force.
  18. So, I had a good chuckle while watching this game on big ten plus. I'm assuming that the announcers were NU students (working on getting into sports broadcasting) which made it quite hilarious since the one guy, that being the color commentary guy, should have been better prepared. He referred to Coley as "Cooley" almost every time he mentioned her name. The play-by-play guy seemed to emphasize the correct pronunciation when he called her name. After Moriarty took the elbow and Coley exchanged words with the KC player, the color guy called her "Cooley" a couple of more times. The play-by-play guy spent most of the time that the zebra's were reviewing the play commenting on the replay. As you would expect, he mentioned Coley's name numerous times (correct pronunciation) during the commentary and again, it sure seemed like he was trying to emphasize that to his partner. The color guy proceeded to pronounce her named correctly a couple of times, but he went right back to calling her "Cooley" when she came back in late in the game. I'm not really sure why someone wouldn't have used the commercial breaks earlier in the game to "coach him up" on the correct pronunciation - maybe someone did, but he must've had is so ingrained in his brain that he just couldn't get it right.
  19. Well...that just stinks. Potts was poised to have an outstanding year. It is what it is and the team will still be pretty good, but she does so many things that are going to be hard to replace. Get well soon, Ms. Potts.
  20. Another slow start up through the last couple of minutes of the 1st half. Took care of business in the 2nd half. But, I think this kind of game may be more of the norm going forward. These early season 'patsies' are getting better players in the new transfer portal era who sometimes move down a level after decent but not extraordinary careers at larger schools looking for more playing time for their last hurrah. Guardine (sp?) was a talented player who could put the ball in the basket after spending some time at Temple. They also had quick athletes (same as SE La.) that cause NU some problems as mentioned by others. I think if NU can focus on controlling the turnovers and more consistent rebounding, it could be a pretty good season.
  21. She really had a nice game, considering she was kind of thrown into the main ball-handler role with Prince being out. She handled the pressure very well. She's shown consistent improvement from year to year. She's not typically going to 'wow' you with the stats, but she generally plays contributes in many ways.
