Bugeaters1 Posted December 3, 2014 Report Posted December 3, 2014 I have a question about the flagrant fouls. Octavius Ellis just got ejected from their with Stoney Brook He fouled a SB player while he was going in for a layup, Took his head off no ball contact. Will he be able to play the next game or does he have to sit out? Next game happens to be against the Huskers. Quote
CrazyforNUHOOPS Posted December 3, 2014 Report Posted December 3, 2014 It is strange that they have 11 days between games this far ahead of Christmas break. Quote
49r Posted December 3, 2014 Report Posted December 3, 2014 It is strange that they have 11 days between games this far ahead of Christmas break. Looks like they have finals next week: http://www.uc.edu/registrar/calendars/academic_calendar_1415.html Quote
49r Posted December 3, 2014 Report Posted December 3, 2014 Oh and to answer the OP's question, "In May of 2011, the NCAA approved rule changes to the way that flagrant fouls were handled. They are now split into two types (like the NBA categories), and there is no longer a suspension given for the next game." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flagrant_foul#NCAA_and_NFHS Bugeaters1 1 Quote

Thanks for the answer 49r. Quote
Handy Johnson Posted December 5, 2014 Report Posted December 5, 2014 I don't believe this Bearcat squad is quite as salty as last years. This SHOULD be a W at home for the Red! Quote
jimmykc Posted December 6, 2014 Report Posted December 6, 2014 I'm glad he is eligible. I think he will be the first Octavius the Huskers have ever played against. Quote
