hhcscott Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 What happened with ESPN/ESPN2? I had to record the game, and when I sit down to watch I get the ACC game, even though the program guide says Nebraska and Ohio State. Anyone else experience this? I'm on Dish Quote
jayschool Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 ESPN made the announcement yesterday, but the cable and satellite providers didn't take the time to switch the info. I knew about the switch, took it on faith and recorded "ACC Quarterfinal." Watched the "good" 15 minutes of the game, then erased it. Oy. Quote
AuroranHusker Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Saw the info on twitter that ESPN would televise the Big Ten, but I recorded both just to be sure... Quote
hhcscott Posted March 14, 2014 Author Report Posted March 14, 2014 Man what absolute crap. People use the DVR to tape games when they won't be around so there is no way to check to see if they are taping the right game. Obviously I did not see the notice, but if the cable/satellite companies did and did not switch the info how is one to know what to tape? I know the mickey-mouse operation that is ESPN can't figure out which game to put on which channel until the last minute (because midday second round conference tournament games at are going to have a huge national audience that we need to flip the games around) but I even checked the Dish schedule this morning. Next time I'm just going to opt for pirated internet broadcasts from my office. BjoeHusker and greymonkey 2 Quote
Busch Light Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 That got me too, Scotty. I missed the first half DVR. Luckily, I got to watch the first half. Of course giving what happened, that might be unlucky. Quote
swoof Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 Yeah, Comcast still had it wrong when the game started today. Only way I knew for sure was by checking espn.com. Quote
