49r Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 Big, BIG surprise, IMO. I thought he was going Florida State all the way. http://www.kansascity.com/2013/05/14/4234835/andrew-wiggins-consensus-no-1.html I guess being an Adidas school didn't hurt KU in this case, eh? ...and I'm not necessarily being facetious on this: https://twitter.com/swmckewonOWH/status/334338492136034306 I think this puts KU's odds of winning the national title almost instantly much higher. Great get for KU. Norm Peterson 1 Quote
RedEyedFanatic Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 The real question is, does this mean doc is out as DBO and wiggin's dad is in? Quote

49r Posted May 14, 2013 Author Report Posted May 14, 2013 An updated Top 25 for 2013-14By Jason King | ESPN.com Usually, the actions of one player wouldn't be enough to warrant a brand new edition of the preseason top 25. But Andrew Wiggins is that darn good. Wiggins -- the projected No. 1 pick in the 2014 NBA draft and arguably the top high school player since LeBron James -- on Tuesday signed a national letter of intent with Kansas, thus vaulting the Jayhawks from the bottom of our Top 25 to near the top. Now that all of the top prospects have signed and the deadline to turn pro has passed, here's a final version to the rankings entering the 2013-14 season. Wow... Quote
Huskerpapa Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 ...any bets on the number of credit hours he will earn prior to declaring for the NBA Quote
49r Posted May 15, 2013 Author Report Posted May 15, 2013 ...any bets on the number of credit hours he will earn prior to declaring for the NBA I will put my money on "0" for this one, cwg. Maybe a better o/u would be on number of classes he actually attends at KU. Whatever number you put up, give me the unders. Quote
jimmykc Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 I'll check with my inside sources on the Doc situation. Some of these one and done guys work out and some don't. I can think of a couple of examples at KU who were in the latter category. Quote
jimmykc Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 My inside source in Lawrence (same one who assured me Danny Manning would never leave KU) confirms that Doc wanted Dooley's job which was not offered and that Wiggins dad will be named to Doc's present position before long. Good thing he kept his house in Lincoln. Quote
