At this point NU can't be picky.  We need a full roster for next season.  Until we have some success, if they have talent we have to take them assuming reasonable character.

I wonder if Miles regrets not following up on Doc's two big men?  Both played this season against Creighton.  The one whose last name started with an "F" could have played this year.  He was serviceable.  The other was a juco with little high school experience but showed promise with a redshirt year and three years to play, I believe.  He had upside and may have been worth the risk.

With the new arena one year away and a state-of-the-art practice facility I am unmoved by Miles recruiting.

Im equally unmoved by his ability to keep coaches.  At least when Doc lost coaches they were to top programs, Marquette and UCLA.  Miles is losing to Minny and Bradley. I hope the new AD is giving Miles money  to keep coaches. Matthews got a 60% increase in pay to go to UCLA and was the lead recruuiter for S Mohamned, a likely freshman 1st round pick.

I don't like the off court direction NU is moving.

apparently you have no clue what happened with Shabazz.  He was going to UCLA regardless of who recruited him.  In fact a snail couldve recruited Shabazz.  His dad said he was going to UCLA to start building his star power for the year he would be there.  His dad has had a "strategy" to build his brand and LA is the only high level school in a major market.  Good attempt though.....not.

I could not disagree more with your post and judging by your post count I will assume you are just trolling until proven otherwise.

Nope, not a troll. Been going to games for a looooooong time. Love the direction on the court, off the court Im 180 degrees the other direction.

I don't believe you.

But to humor your previous post...

"At this point NU can't be picky. We need a full roster for next season. Until we have some success, if they have talent we have to take them assuming reasonable character."

This is 100% the wrong move to make. Nebraska absolutely cannot take player just to have a full roster next season. Do I want Nebraska to have a full roster next season? Yes. But that is only if the right players are available for Nebraska to sign. Just taking players in order to make sure Nebraska has a full roster is one of the reasons that Nebraska has been where they have been under previous coaching staffs. You don't take a handful of players that are a reach, just to have a full roster, and then cross your fingers hoping it works out, because those players take up roster spots in future years as well.

I would be shocked if Miles regrets not following up on Doc's two big men. Probably hasn't even given it another thought.

Not sure what your issue with recruiting is. Is Nebraska expected to start signing classes full of 4-Star/5-Star players in the first season? No. The current recruiting class is better than any recruiting class that Nebraska has had for a long time. And Nebraska is still looking at 2 more players. Nebraska has signed a 4-Star in this recruiting class. When was the last time Nebraska did that before Miles came to town? Nebraska has signed 2 players ranked in the top-25 of their position. When was the last time Nebraska did that before Miles came to town?

Not sure what you expect differently out of this situation. People move back closer to home. It happens. Johnson moved back home and also back to his alma mater. Again, not sure what you expect differently out of this situation. It would likely be the same situation if a former Nebraska football player was offered a chance to come back to Nebraska and coach. Would the fans at Oregon get bent out of shape if Scott Frost came back to coach at Nebraska if he was offered the job? I don't imagine that they would be. It happens.

Troll.

Good responses. I could've believed it was an honest non-troll opinion (not that I would've agreed with it) until he brought up the assistant coaches. That screamed troll or ignorance.
