It's early and we're only down 2-0.  However, if we go loss, loss... our #2 guy won't even have a chance to pitch....

So, the HP allows OSU a quick pitch on Caron leading to a strikeout.

 

Squeezes Brockett which leads to an RBI double.

 

The bottom half of the inning the strike zone is exapanded.

I keep saying-- we're not built for things like the B1G tournament and Regionals.  Supers... sure.  3 games series we can probably do.  But our hitting is not going to do well in big tournament play.

This team has had zero interest of being at the ballfield far more times than I expected from a Bolt team.

We would if we don't get cute and actually start, you know the Pitcher of the Year.  Instead, we decide to start our Sunday starter on 2 days rest.

I forgot to mention that Pitcher of the Year threw a 2 hit shutout against these guys earlier.

9-0 is completely unacceptable.  It's the post season tournament.  Win the game of the day and worry about the next game AFTER you win.

We have not gotten even close to a call that the OSU pitcher has all night.

 

3 of those pitches to the last batters were called balls when OSU is batting and strikes when Nebraska is batting.

 

It still would be ugly but we would be in striking distance.

Now, we can't even catch a ball hit right to us.  It was hit hard, but that ball is a ball that has to be caught.

The only drama left is can we get a hit?
