U19 USA Women's World team

Been watching the U19 women's World Cup games for several days. YouTube has replays 

 

 

Wow,  The USA team is very strong at every position. Very deep roster. This is probably a future Olympic team. But U19 WORLD CHAMPS for now !

 

The guards are all very, very good,.. Diamond Johnson, Paopao, Citron. And Verhulst from Kansas has looked really good in all phases of the game...impressive. Johnson is extremely effective at the point.

Catlin Clark is shooting the 3's with killer eyes. (defense isn't her strength...she's there to shoot, bvut overall game is very good.)

 

They have I think 5 players 6-4 and taller. The obvious star is Lauren Betts 6-7 (committed to Stanford)... she just dominates inside...controls the paint...excellent moves. Instinctive skills. 

Looks like an college All American in high school. 

 

Lauren Ware (out of North Dakota) ...we recruited...doesn't start, but gets in, in relief.... but will do fine at the college level.

 

Really fun team to watch....so skilled and fluid.

watched Ware a handful of times when arizona was on tv.......she got good minutes. i'm willing to bet she continues to improve. did not appear timid...not afraid to "bang" around underneath.
