I thought this merited a post since he was an all time great for the Lakers. Personally, I was never a fan since his Seattle team eliminated the Kansas State team which was a favorite of mine in the 1958 Final Four. (K-St. starters were Omaha's Bob Boozer, Jack Paar, Roy Dewitz, Wally Frank, and Don Matuzak). I had seen K.State beat the Oscar Robertson Cincinnati team in the regionals which were played at Allen Fieldhouse that year. Baylor had a nervous tic in his neck like a natural fake which sort of helped make him difficult to guard and a knack for scoring. For a while I tried to mimic the tic, but could never quite get the scoring part. Too bad he played for the Lakers. Anyway, he seemed like a gentleman without any extraneous controversy. R.I.P.
