My goodness.  Does the committee take into account these tournament games when deciding seeding and what not?

Baylor is 2 and BBQ in the Big 12 tourney.  They were a recent 2 seed projection.

Southern Miss was a 1 seed projection who dropped their first game.

 

Clemson another 1 seed projection who dropped their first game.

 

Texas Tech dropped game 1, but came back to beat Baylor in game 2.

 

Wake Forest is losing to Georgia Tech right now.  Another 1 seed could go down.

 

TCU lost game 1, but currently leads game 2 VS. OU.

 

Arkansas is about to lose to Mississippi State.  Another 1 seed to fall.

2 teams with losing records are in this year.  I think auto bids should go to teams who win regular season championship and not teams who get hot for 3-4 games at the right time.

It's the same debate that goes on every year for March Madness. The one argument that I would have for it is that a team that may be down and out throughout the season at least still has some hope at the end of the season to fight for more baseball (basketball, etc.). Otherwise, these teams might as well give up when they're eliminated from contention in the regular season. That might be good and well in professional sports, but this is college and these kids should have a chance. Just a few thoughts I've had when this topic comes up.

I would totally agree with this and my thoughts would certainly change I bet if the Huskers were the "Iowa" of this year.  Iowa would not have gotten in.

 

Another way to do this would be to give the top 10 RPI leagues both regular season and conference champions a bid. In order to do this though, you'd have to eliminate the bottoms 10's RPI leagues AQ's.  This would make for more competitive baseball, but would suck for those lower tiers leagues.

 

Think a regional of something like Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Missouri State, and Iowa.  Now that has much more buzz.
