I was watching that game when it happened.  Still SMH.  Outside ref called charge, underneath ref called block (I think).  After a ref pow wow, they called a double foul, which I believe was #5 for both Bryant and Swanigan.  Probably didn't make a difference in the outcome, but it was strange to say the least.

It seems to me that it could have been a counted hoop, and you play on... kind of a weird deal in that both guys foul out when neither 'needed' to. Odd to say the least...

Even if you call it a Block...he travels before he shoots the ball, so no basket no matter what.

 

Personally, I would call it a blocking foul...waive off the basket since he put the shot up after an extra step....on the floor.
