*************IMPORTANT FIRST SCOUTING POST MESSAGE************

Anyone feel free to start this sort of thread per game. I'll provide some pasted in Kenpom stats and observations if that also hasn't been done.

I'm a numbers/analytics guy however that doesn't tell the whole story at all.  Thus if you have a relevant gameplay clip with something to point out about it, please do.  If you see something from just watching a team play and think it is compelling enough to use to point out something about an opponent feel free to message me the approximate time during a game and if it's available for me to gif out I will do this for you.

****end of message ****

Thoughts on the below pasted in data

  • Michael White really got this program going which earned him the job as Florida's head coach. Konkol thus far has kept the same sort of high tempo.
  • The only thing that jumps out at me for the moment is the higher 3PA% and A% allowed by the defense which to me speaks of more emphasis by this team on stopping driving lanes than passing lanes than what White was doing. That might not matter too much considering that tracking Michael White isn't something our team has needed to do.
  • Don't over-value the 2017 stats vs just two team, one of which was terrible

Here are last year's KenPom numbers with all the seniors crossed out.

Just looking at usage from last year and not knowing who else has come in or out I'd expect Erik McCree to either be the leader in shot attempts or towards the top.

In addition to McCree Sherman and Jean all played 30+ minutes.  Not sure if Boykins played less because of foul trouble or just rotations.
