Why did we play a division II team?

Does this really hurt our rpi or does it even count? Is it exhibition? Do the stats count?

I don't understand..

I thought maybe we played then because miles coached there but it was Mayville st

It doesn't count towards our RPI.  so you still play a lower tiered team - you just don't have your RPI drop

It doesn't count for RPI purposes and it doesn't count as a win by the selection committee criteria.

 

Because it doesn't impact RPI, it may be better than playing your typical MEAC or SWAC team.

It does count as a 'W' but only if a program plays one of them. If it's more than 1, those other games would not count toward a win (assuming a win, of course) for the season total.
