“I love it here,” Brunelle said. “This is where I grew up, where my mom went to school and it’s where I want to be.”

Matthew Hatfield, the state basketball analyst for Virginiapreps.com, said that loyalty is a rare and treasured commodity among college coaches.

“Nothing scares a coach more than seeing a player jump from school to school,” he said. “She’s obviously committed and loyal to her hometown. She wants to win, and wants to work to make her team and her market better. Coaches love that.”

very nice compliment, and good for Brunelle. wondered how far into the article i would have to get before seeing the name "Auriemma".  ;)
