So is it possible to say that the Creighton game is partially to blame for this season and the route it took? Not just them beating us yet again, but for removing "THE GLUE" for a good chunk of the season? The Huskers should probably have been able to get someone to step up into that role as leader, so I'm still going to put most of the blame on the team.

Not me...I was a 15 year old loner with very few friends that didn't go to concerts....so I didn't. lol..now I'm a 51 year old loner with very few friends that might sometimes go to concerts...but never invite me...so I go solo.

I'm so mixed right now. I'm so happy to see these guys winning but a part of me is also pi$$ed that this team we are seeing at an away game couldn't do this more often this season.

We may have five new eligible on the bench too. Will have to wait and see who all decides to stay.

Step one win every game up Creighton. Step two get the Creighton Monkey off their back (yet again..the damn thing keeps getting on their back)..step three...make it out of the Creighton games with none of your players getting multi game injuries...step four build off Creighton win and win the next game. Beyond that I don't know. I don't think they will make it past step 1...but gotta start somewhere.

Yeah, our receptionist told me they said on the radio that most Husker fans sold their tickets to Iowa fans. This is going to be a painful lesson to the team. Home court should not be this way. Reminds me of the year Nebraska took over Notre Dame's football stadium. Only difference is our coach can't bitch out the fans for selling out.

as I said...my opinion isn't worth much around here. I just saying I'm to the point where I see a post that says "so and so is N" and I'm like BFG. The equipment managers are about as N as the guys that haven't put on the Uniform and they deserve more hype than someone who hasn't played OFM of Husker ball.

if you look on the board it's already started! There are people pumping up recruits. Saying how amazing these guys are. They are either the coach or the "press" in disguise or need to cut back on whatever they are smoking. My opinion isn't worth a lot here...but I'd like to start seeing the "Is N" posts get put somewhere other than the main board until they prove themselves...they aren't really worth talking about in great detail. What they have done is meaningless once they put on the husker gear if they can't continue to either improve or at a minimum show what they did before.

Agree...but it just needs to stop. Everyone needs to stop hyping these guys until they prove themselves. We have one player currently playing that actually deserves the hype. The rest don't deserve anything more than a diploma for their time at the U. At least they succeeded there.

My 80 year old dad has said pretty much the same thing. He's running out of time to see Nebraska beat Creighton...he's running out of time to see Nebraska make it to the dance again. He's running out of time to see Nebraska actually win a fricken (lol he never swears) NCAA game and make it to the second round! He's upheld his end of the deal by going to games continuously since the 70's. Nebraska has very seldom upheld their end of the deal. Nee for a few years and Miles came close his first year. Outside of that it's been Barry ball or worse.

Spot on. I also don't want to see anyone post on this board how amazing a player we have recruited is and how much they will help the team. Talk is cheap. The players need to prove to me they are worth getting excited for. I don't give a carp what they did prior to setting foot on the court in a Husker uniform. If the players prove themselves, thats fantastic...but we see how amazing(ly bad) these guys turned out to be with all the hype the press...and people here put on the players.

Won't happen this time either. I honestly don't see anyone coming back if they saw any playing time this season. I'm not even going to guess on the redshirts...although if Coach isn't around next season I don't see his son being around either. As much as it would suck...I don't think a clean sweep of everyone on the program would be a bad thing.

Don't know about you...but I won't accept 3 or more wins than this year...by any coach. I expect more wins than loses next year...no matter who the coach is. Don't care if they make it to a tournament. I want to see the season end with no more losing seasons.

Question...would you be excited with a new Coach or would you take a wait and see. After what we have gone through the last 3 years...I'll still go to the games. I'll still chear on the team. HOWEVER, just like the players, I'm not going to get too pumped up for a coach until he/she (ya never know) proves themselves at a Nebraska game. I don't care what you have done in the past..I'd think this year is proof that when it comes to Nebraska, hype is a load of BS. Show me what you have a a Husker. Until they can prove themselves, they are no better than the person that hands me a slice of pizza and a bottle of water at a husker game.

IF Coach is still around next year...might be even easier.

Is the University or PBA going to have a giveaway for all the fans in attendance to the last home game. Those of us that have stuck with it the last three+ years? Free bottle of Nyquil or something? Not sure if I'm going to Sr day to support the players that haven't done squat or fans that have by just showing up.

I thought about going to see the Crash Test Dummies up in Omaha instead of the game. Still might do that.
