  1. no QUESTION, 6-1 feels leagues apart from 5-2. huge for confidence, and we all know how huge that is for college players.
  2. to the nebraska mind right now: clemson steals with 1 sec left, heaves a 3, and SWISH, nebraska loses heartbreaker. it is not to be. G B fuckin R
  3. Advanced strats, gotta respect it ?
  4. FML we better not choke this shit away...
  5. im so shocked how close this is with how we controlled... so disappointed it is even close at the end, but wouldn't be a nebrasketball game if it wasn't, right? BUT THE REFS SENT ONE OUR WAY FOR ONCE
  6. oh don't get me too excited now. I'm inclined to side with you. man this season is going to be a roller coaster of emotions between TT and Clemson, isn't it?
  7. lol I can really hear the husker fans who travelled out! one of my favorite sounds in the world: a small group of opposing fans in another teams gym, celebrating and yelling after a big sequence. note: only fun on the right end of it. ?
  8. color me impressed. a nice bounceback if we pull this off
  9. OMG! we're taking advantage. this game is a really fun watch. glad I caught this one. huge game
  10. the only hope is that it 1) improves over the course of the season, and 2) the big ten refs allow more physicality and stick with tradition in the conference. strange thing to hope for too, consider we aren't the tallest team...
  11. my boy roby is just too egregious a character to be tolerated under ANY roof. but for real, this phenomenon is ridiculous. does he need to look at the way he defends? maybe. But most likely not. I see it as an issue with how they police college defenses. just so happens that this Nebraska team is one of the best defenses in the country.
  12. Dabo: 72 Bo pelini: 69 Please prove me wrong. We can do this. They have it in them.
  13. Another short dry spell in the mid half. Oh well. You cant shoot 60% all day long, now can you? Maybe we can work on that? It's not nearly as big a problem as old nebrasketball at the bob, 10-15 minute dry periods. I suppose the fix is fundamentals, and getting good shooters.
  14. Glynn with an impressive line. I'm always amazed at the hustle of small guards that grab rebounds, westbrook style. Or maybe Isaiah Thomas style. 16 - 2 - 8
  15. Halftime: shooting very well from the floor at 56%, and that is with only one 3. Not shooting the 3 excessively though. Doesnt feel like as good of a shooting day as it is. This is a win, question is how we close it out and use this valuable court time to work on some things. Bluejays put the pressure on with that clemson game, what a shame. Itll be a huge test and I just hope not to get blown out again. We're (supposedly) a legit team this year, I believe it. Good teams win away, and adapt when something isnt working. It's my hunch that that Texas tech lesson provided a lot of material for timmy to show the guys where they can improve.
  16. Anybody know what the line is on this one? #huskerscover It was slow and looking pretty bleak there for a minute.
  17. I could easily do it today too. Hmm. Maybe I'll do something later in the game, I'm just too lazy right now. Lol. It's awesome when you can do that tho.
  18. Yep, an usher came up to 300 and said we could move down and fill it up. at least the student side.
  19. These holiday break games are always rough, I hate them. It's just as bad as a non student. Character building time. motivation probably isn't high after pie and a half crowd.
  20. Pony tail dude can jump outta the gym. Lol! Sloppy and playing down to our opponents today. Cant be doing this. I can understand being in a low point and struggling after the beatdown, but c'mon. Gonna overcome.
  21. well the joke *whoosh* mustve gone over my head in that case. I don't get it. ??
  22. I love the sentiments being made known, I couldn't agree more myself. this board is an invaluable resource for hoop heads such as us, and what I hate seeing in the past few years is this horrible habit people have of using WILD HYPERBOLE for everything; commonly being: Loss: the sky is falling, fire everyone, this is unacceptable, lets blame such and such player, etc Win: this is the best team in the world (you can tell that the negative hyperbole imo seems to be the more prevalent and leaned upon, maybe due to the beaten down husker fan spirit?) This has to stop. I hate to see negativity, personal attacks and general toxicity ruin what is one of my few happy places in life, here on the internet. Of course I expect some craziness, due to the nature of the internet and the influx of new people to this board. (a very exciting thing!) But we can do better, continue to set a high standard. Love ya guys. Lets keep it rolling.
