prayers Bug's! hope nothing too serious. -
yeah, i laughed when i heard jeff state that too. not that the huskers won't or can't light it up (like they did at iowa a few years ago, and i think it was at Purdue and someone else could probably think of a few more over the years). just think with both defenses and msu at home, odds of a high scoring game are low. msu defense at home averaged 48pts----having said that, during non-con, i don't think they had real stiff competition.
-
i agree----if defense shows up like it did against iowa, huskers could definitely walk out of there with a 'w'. i expect a back and forth game---a number of lead changes. has the makings of a good one. being a road game, may need to hold msu to around that 65 mark. i think a shootout would be advantage msu.

iowa could be pretty darn good next season with Clark, Warnock, and their post. just got home in time to listen to post game. sounds like the whole staff did a great job of putting together a game plan----and, the players followed through!

Iowa vs Drake QUOTING COACH BLUDER"Very good win. I feel good about this win. Drake is a good basketball team, they will most likely be in the NCAA Tournament at the end of this year. For what we lost last year, to go 9-2 through the nonconference, especially when you think back to the UNI loss (88-66 on Nov. 17) and where we were then and where we have come since, I am proud of our women and their focus this week." iowa scored 31pts off of drake turnovers (23, i think?) 14 steals for iowa. gotta hand it to bluder, iowa playing much better than i thought they would.

with Helms condition, i just get the feeling this is about what you're going to see out of helms. 3-5 minutes. it would be interesting to know just how much she does in practice during the week? like i stated before, according to article i read, there is no cure.....you just try to manage the pain. i know she had made a statement after one game that it was the first time she played without pain......but, i also believe much of that had to do with her short stint on the floor. -

well, even coach williams has stated they need to find a more consistent scorer. you know, reach those double figures. no doubt, brown can light it up..........at times. hannah is a senior now and we pretty much know what to expect from her. she is gonna score at times.........and, have a stretch where you wonder where she is. brown's defense is pretty suspect, at least so far. during coach williams career, she has always stressed defense. i think it was when the class of 2018 came in, a couple of players made a statement about coach never telling them the first couple weeks would be all about defense (think it was mershon and haiby). although, i think it was a bit of a lighthearted statement by the players......but, it was still true. i am sure they will still work on brown's defense, but, i also kinda took it coach is gonna let her concentrate more on her offensive abilities. no doubt eliely has been their best defensive player and still is. -
according to jrallstar.com, Bailey Kissinger is the #4 rated player in the class of 2022 (Taylor McCabe #1). would that be TK's sister? looks like a nice site to visit, but, they charge a fee. you still can get a glance at the top 5 when you pick a state...free.

with TK done, i think the huskers are going to need Brown to be more of a consistent scorer. i've noticed she seems to play "out-of-control" at times. especially against more talented teams. she just needs to follow that old saying..."let the game come to you". -
hmmmm.....appears this may fall into the category of "must get" for coach williams? you know, "from nebraska...huge talent"?
