was rather surprised because when i turned the channel back to football, indiana was pretty well under control. my, iowa is playing well at home. i never saw this coming. doyle is really having a nice senior year. iowa is a team that really plays together well and have that "chemistry". they just all seem to be on the same page. i thought they would finish in that 7-9 spot in the standings. now, they will most likely fight for that 3-4-5 spot. wow. gotta hand it to bluder----she has done a really nice job considering what they lost.

imo, huskers seem to have a history (well, recent) of having difficulty with opponents defensive pressure. i just don't think it is going to be pretty against maryland. their record is a bit shaky, but, that pressure has got to be one of the best in the country. it kept them in the game against iowa, but, their shooting was horrendous for the most part. watching indiana-iowa. indiana is good. although, doyle keeping the hawkeyes in the game.

yep, saw that. i always had questions about Pitts body language. wondered if it might come to a head sooner rather than later. i don't think she played the last 7minutes+ against NW. got benched.

correction: Alex Wittinger i believe is the player i was thinking of...not Whittingham coach nancy fahey is sitting around a .31 winning %. just from what i have seen so far, things just don't seem to be headed in a positive direction. hate to see any coach go through something like that, but.....we'll see as the season progresses. if i looked at it correctly, she is like 2-37 just in BT play.....ouch

you are correct. when minny is moving the ball well, and their 3 point shooters (scalia, hubbard, pitts and brunson) are in tandem they can be a very dangerous team. having said that, team rebounding seems to be their nemesis at this point in BT play (although bello will get her share).

oh, no doubt.........just sayin' illinois has not made any progress since her hire. one could easily argue they have actually regressed. illinois was fortunate they had whittingham the past few years.

think coach whalen is finding out playing "small ball" in the Big Ten can be pretty tough---especially when shots aren't falling and your up against a pretty good defensive team such as the huskers can be. didn't give minny too many opportunities to get out and run like they usually try to do.

beginning to wonder if the illinois coach makes it through the season? i believe she had a stellar career at DIII? but.....

i think many of the discussion(s) on this board have been around since the beginning of sports. i played sports back in the 70's (football, bb, track, and baseball) and heard just about all of the same type of comments that you see in this boards discussions. kinda the nature of sports-------until the personal comments start to get thrown around------and i think the far majority have stayed away from such commentary. emotions have a tendency to run high when it comes to athletic competition and like i stated, for the vast majority of us it isn't personal. criticism in some shape or form will always be there, especially in athletics. but, when it comes down to it-----we all know how hard players work, the blood, sweat, and tears that are put out on that court, or field. goes for the coach and the staff(s), too. no doubt it can get maddening at times when we know how good "they" can play and we aren't seeing the effort there (or whatever you may choose to call it)....i think the msu game may be a good example excuse the ramble, hope you all understand. 98% are just big husker fans and want to see them all do well in sports. btw, was trying to post the video of coach clapping her hands and walking over to the postgame huddle but for some reason didn't work. was just going to mention when i see some videos of her always reminds me when i was young and watching coach and her brother crawling around on the bleachers! and, now, her she is coach of the team i root for!

i hope New Husker Fan is correct. i really do. as i stated in a couple of earlier posts, i also have read medical articles on the condition that leave me at best, cautiously optimistic. time will tell, i guess. chance of a redshirt this season? but.......if i was coach, i'd still be searching for the best pg i could find that would be willing to come to nebraska.

heck no.....that was a team loss. i truly believe coach needs to find a top notch or maybe i should say a very good point guard going forward. whether it be 2021-22?

Rutgers-Indiana: at half as Indiana leaving floor, looked like Patberg was chewin' on one of her players. wasn't what i would consider ugly, but looked like she was trying to make a point. no doubt she is the leader on the floor.
