  1. i'd put $$$ on that one---will be in running for that 3, 4, 5 spot. plus, they will be rather young---should start freshman, junior, and possibly 2 sophs. maybe sr at the other spot. kinda wish matt would ask coach if brown asked to come off the bench? mutual decision? or if all coaching? well, at least Brown got recognized the way it turned out. Shimmy is at Clemson----7-22 overall, 3-15 ACC
  2. yep. wrong thread, but, hope the staff is digging hard for a "good" pg in the next class------or two. a natural leader. know nothing about Moriarity---maybe?
  3. Hillmon went for 15pts and 6 rebounds the only time they met this year. i'd take that again----if Husker defense can get similar results, should give them a pretty darn good shot. need to do work on Brown also (17pts).
  4. Maryland should have no problem coming out of the top bracket. i think OSU plays Iowa and knocks Iowa out. whether it be Huskers or Michigan going against NW, it's just NW's year. they are good, and i think it will be NW and OSU in the semi's. think NW wins close one against OSU------but, falls to Maryland, most likely big.
  5. jmo, but, i think coach williams is battling issues more on the mental side than anything else with this team. like i mentioned earlier, ever since that "gut punch" loss against osu, it seems to have been a real struggle. it was really apparent once again in that 4th quarter against indiana----hence the late timeout. it wasn't the first time she put matt on hold for the post game interview. i know she did it at least one more time (it may have been the osu game? i don't remember) anyway, it may have been discussed earlier, but, jmo. i still think williams is a really good coach (yes, we all agree there are things to learn/do different), but, it has been a real struggle figuring out this mental issue here.
  6. i was really concerned it would end up being Rutgers----very athletic team, the type that gives huskers fits. Michigan is tough, but, no reason huskers don't have a shot against them. the way Maryland is playing now--------they should steamroll right thru the Big Ten Tourney.
  7. wouldn't be surprised if moos is starting to put together a list. williams will be back, but, bet moos will be prepared.
  8. Northwestern on their way for at least a share of the Big Ten title. lead illinois 69-44 in the 4th. congrats to them......didn't see that coming.
  9. we'll see how things unfold (as far as big ten tourney, i just hope they don't have to play rutgers in that first round---bad matchup)...............but, right now this team just looks mentally whipped. i might be way off base on this, but, i commend coach on calling a timeout when things were already way out of hand. when indiana sunk a 3 pointer late in the 4th, she noticed just how bad the body language reached. i won't fault her for that decision.
  10. i don't think this team really ever recovered from the OSU loss at PBA.
  11. makes you wonder if moos would ask for staff changes for next season?
  12. don't know 'bout that---------------if this continues through next season, i could see moos pulling the trigger.
  13. may be a bit harsh, but, would Porter crack top 100? then you have 1 that is rated 150 by one group and not even rated by another. then, add a walk-on? man, i don't know how things improve.
  14. only thing i could see was the body language from 3 of the players after the last made shot.
  15. look like a bunch that's ready for the season to end.
  16. wonder if someone much more familiar with husker wbb recruiting could answer a couple of questions? which areas are assigned to the staff? namely, minnesota. there is a lot of talent in that state (haiby, for example). a person would think recruiting there would have some built in advantages (playing in the big ten would be advantageous for family and friends as far as seeing some games, etc). msu, mich, and especially wisc are very well known to show up in minny. of course, getting to ncaa on a fairly consistent basis would greatly help matters.
  17. that really is unbelievable. i remember trying to do that when i played in high school. we went crazy when someone even made one!
  18. indiana wins. minnesota needs to win both games vs maryland and iowa (unless huskers can pull off the upset @ indy, then the point is mute)
  19. looks like minny/indiana gonna go down to the wire. 65-63 hoosiers
  20. she's got a couple of really good recruits from minny that have her high on their list. if she can pull that off.........lot of talent in minny. she did get a commit from Czinano's sister ( 5' 11"-6'0") guard. not highly rated, but, from articles/comments some think she could be pretty good.
  21. end of 3 indiana 57 minnesota 53 gophers tied it at 53 minnesota shooting around 36% while hoosiers shooting around 53% gophers 3pt'ers and free throw shooting keeping it close.
  22. the game at williams would definitely be their best shot. indiana leading 40-37 at half. i think it's going to be awful tough to find a win against maryland or iowa. powell with 15 at half------definitely making a run for FOTY 46-37 into the 3rd now. berger warming up.
  23. Indiana 40 Minnesota 37: Berger 4pts Patberg 25pts in the first half.
  24. wonder if Bourne will work on the mid-range jumper (and closer) once the season is over? i am not big on her taking perimeter shots. i believe she is at 21% now.
  25. agree with Fahey----i'd be shocked if illinois has her return. i think Tipis will be back. while not a great record, wisconsin has played better for the most part. i think Merchant will return too, for next season. coach battled a number of injuries this season.
