Nebraska on the Selection Committee Board
colhusker replied to hhctony's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Nice to see the other Big 10 coaches stating what we all know and yet what the Big 10 desk jockies don't. Heck even Bill Self has said we are a tournament team (damn I might have to like him for a bit). -

Yes unless you ask Joe Lunardi or the Big Ten Network Game Break Analysts. Based on their thoughts we might as well hang the sneakers up. -
Norm there were a couple times yesterday a mugging would occur and no whistle and then a ticky tack call gets made. How do kids know what is legal and illegal anymore? Hell then you toss in a phantom technical foul or two and there you have it.

I see what you did there -
Oh had I not missed a game I would be #45 now
-
HF I am really starting to believe Joe Lunardi is that geek that still sits in his mom's basement and goes by some name like Warlock with his buddies. Not sure he has watched 1 minute of basketball.
-
Agree with whomever said it, the officials owe Miles AND Palmer an explanation as to why he got the T. Quick and unneeded whistle.

Got the look from the wife when I hooted the same thing when he hit the wide open 3 when we went zone as he heated up. -
I think so
-
Watched a video of a kid getting T'ed up for a similar offense to Palmer today. TV guy went nuts complaining that the officials went overboard with the T. Today was the same thing.

But did you tell your Misery buddies that any Misery loss is a good loss. I love pointing out to the Misery fans at work if they are in, we should be way in this year.
-
Someone forgot to tell them it was a No Sit Sunday!
-
Been saying it for a long time now, we SHOULD be in. That said given they picked us what 14th and we will be dancing after next weekend I will celebrate. Please understand I want to make the NCAA, really want to make the NCAA. Feel like if we do, I get to check off to bucket list items as I think we win a game there. But as others have said, if it ends up NIT, I will cheer and support this team to the end of the season.

Now I am not one that believes anything on the internet if false. Hell I have seen on the internet that Nebraska has a very good basketball team this year. I KNOW that is true.

And this is why the RPI system is flawed -
It sure didn't appear that he said anything and he clearly did not glare. Looked like a really bad call

We were one shot from being unbeaten at home. -
Did anyone discuss Palmer's T? It sure looked like a whole lot of nothing.

We win by 12 and Palmer struggled badly, would not have believed it if I had not seen it. Watson is the Glue again, played a good game Copeland was absolutely solid today. Taylor got out of control a few times but man we are going to miss him. He was good again today. Jordy - it was the best of times (gave us solid minutes) and it was the worst of times (he dunk attempt) Roby again did a lot of little things that don't show up in box score to help with the win. Just wish he'd stay on his feet on defense. Kid's upside is so high Gill is deadly from the corner, not so much from the wing. Allen not a lot of minutes again. Okeke with a few minutes and played okay. Oh and Tony Carr is pretty damn good. -

Was saying this in the game thread. $EC talking heads think their crappy conference deserves 8 teams and are justifying way. Our network is belittling teams. -

That's my point, we need the Big 10 coaches talking conference up and our own Network guys. -

Predicting the exact number of Big Ten tournament wins by Nebraska (e.g. I am looking for an answer like "5" Does that mean we automatically win the tournament then? -

Been saying this for a month. Doesn't help we have a guy at the Game Break Desk saying we need to win more. Watched the $EC game break desk babbling on about how two average $EC teams were clearly in.
