  1. I'm sure they will. And they will get more than other schools too. But that doesn't mean we're going to partake in bad business and take away from football or men's basketball. Women's basketball and olympic sports are going to be the casualties in the women's volleyball debate. Not FB or MBB.
  2. Is the brand that valuable, if it makes 10 times less than what the men’s basketball team does. And I’d also argued that the men’s basketball team won’t have as many fans showing up in two years if they regress back again and again like they have this year
  3. It makes sense. We aren’t getting him. Focus your resources on what you can actually land.
  4. They can try. Doesn’t mean they’ll get it. For as good as they are…..men’s hoops still makes 10x as much as they do.
  5. That pretty much jt. It’s going to be a 75-15-10 model. That aligns with the percentage of revenue at most schools. 75%-Football 15%-MBB 10%- Everything else
  6. If you put half that money in basketball, you’re going to have a really bad football team. most p4 schools will put around $15m towards football and $3.5-$4m towards basketball. They’ll allocate it based on revenue %
  7. We’re not in a position to be choosy this year. find the best players available, regardless of year. Don’t waste Mast’s last year like we did Williams and Gary. Griffiths, Berke, Jankowski, Frager and Rhymes (along with Perez if we add him) all have multiple years left. That’s 6 of 13 scholarship players. That’s a foundation. not to mention legit players with multiple years cost a lot more and are wanted by everyone.
  8. For me: Transfer PG Essegian (or Transfer) Transfer SF/Wing (or Frager/Rhymes) Transfer PF (Kyle or Bangot) Mast 3 starters from the portal with 2 internal. Rotation: 6. Berke 7. Essegian/Frager/Rhymes 8. Sam 9. Frager/Rhymes 10. Transfer combo guard Deep Bench: 11. Janowski 12. Griffiths 13. Perez (Euro HS PF) 14. Bolis
  9. Most could. It was a bad add on any level. Only gets worse for $500k
  10. You aren’t. Diop/Keita/$500k > Meah and I’m not saying we should’ve held pat with Diop and Keita. Just don’t spend stupidly like we did. We could’ve had three points and three rebounds for free.
  11. No one said it was. Diop isn’t good. But for $500k, he can give us what Meah did
  12. Not to mention it’s likely the adults in the room who are telling a lot of those players to do it.
  13. Did he get hurt. I thought I saw him playing quite a bit early and then falling off late that being said….id take him back for depth. It’s better than spending $500k on a guy like Meah
  14. Right call. Dumb rule
  15. Those are from Rollie and Berke’s shot attempts.
  16. His personality would’ve been fine when he was winning
  17. I don’t see why they are sad. Spring football practice starts in 36 hours.
  18. I would say in general. Kids individually are fine. But the organization isn’t exactly good
  19. Not sure we want to donate to that before they sign here
  20. It’ll be a huge advantage for teams like Gonzaga, St. Mary’s, UConn, nova, Creighton and Marquette
  21. I don’t think volleyball will be taking away from football or men’s basketball. For nothing more than the fact that it’s terrible business given how much money those two sports make. I do think it’ll pull away from the tertiary sports like women’s basketball, baseball and wrestling. And given the fact that women’s volleyball actually earns a profit, you can justify it.
  22. I’d also settle for being categorized as average.
