  1. True....had we not we may have gone 12-19 last year.....
  2. Im turning over a new leaf!
  3. Dont think hes a stud. And dont think hes a guy we turn away Allen for. We pry dont take Taylor is the more likely scenario if Evelyn doesnt transfer
  4. Not going after him. But Evelyn wasn't bad by any means. Parker offered very little in the grand scheme of things. Think it is real fair to say that our reliance on him cost us. Smith and Evelyn both lost time to him and really weren't any worse. Neither Eveylyn or Smith are/were great players, but both are guys that could have contributed/helped here last year or this.
  5. Not asking for positive affirmations for every positive post. Think its ridiculous that one gets accused of negativity though without looking acknowleding the other things said. So questioning a player who was a curious pick up and hasnt looked good at all early (albeit a small sample size) but also praising the play of two others is a case of the eeyores?
  6. Funny that my other posts tonight have been positive but those dont get reconized. Just saying that I struggle grasping why we take a late flier in Thor who really doesnt appear to be very good and we cant reach on instate guys or find someone better with a spot in next years class.
  7. Also, Palmer way better than I expected
  8. Have no idea why we felt the need to offer Thor
  9. Not surprising. He was better than Parker. Shouldve got more time here.
  10. And don't get me wrong. I think we have talent and potential. But I've said that the last 3 years too. And we always underwhelm. I can see us in the dance. I can also see us at 14-16 too
  11. Pretty sure we can find similar things being said around this time in 2016 & 2015 too. But this year we really mean it!
  12. Yep. I wanted Frost the last go round. Still hoping (pry unrealistically) that Riley can figure it out...but if not...all aboard the Frost train
  13. Thought he had a 5-year deal and only the last 2 years haven't been renewed. That'd still give him a few years of buyout.
  14. Our schedules are pretty darn difficult the next 4 years. Cant shy away from doing whats necessary because of fear of next years schedule
  15. Lee is the scum of the earth, even when his occasional points are valid.
  16. If it comes to that...Frost or Mullen are my preferences. I like Fuente at VaTech a ton too, but that program is back up and running already and may be too much to get him away. I'd throw $5MM at Mullen and say compete with Bama and LSU with Miss State's resources or Iowa and Wisconsin with Nebraska's.
  17. No Grobe wasn't.
  18. Didn't we quote/unquote hire a search firm for Osborne to come up with Pelini & Gill?
  19. Michigan State, Maryland, Minnesota seems to be a level above. Illinois, Ohio State and Rutgers seem to be a level below. I think everyone else falls into a big pot. That's not to say a team from the one level can't rise or fall... but just how I see the talent bases as each school.
  20. If we don't consider this team to be a Big 10-caliber roster....I don't know if we ever will/should. How many Top 150 players do we have....6? 7? 8? And while some have yet to play here....we aren't trotting 5 true frosh out there. We can put a legit player at 4 of the 5 starting positions and have reasonable depth for each spot. The only question remains the shooting guard and we have 4 different former Top 150 players who could step in to that role. I'd venture to say there are only 3-4 teams that match us in terms of Top 150 rated players in the conference. I think we stack up pretty well in terms of pure talent. I think there are a legitimate 2-3 teams that are clearly more talented. I think there are a legitimate 2-3 teams that are clearly less talented. The other 6-8 teams are all on the same level and coaching and team chemistry make the difference.
  21. Kind of where I am at.
  22. Normally. If football falls apart, Miles may get a reprieve for this very reason
  23. Position coaches getting fired is only spinning wheels. It needs to be Riley. Top down issues with no accountability. And of course, Eichorst has to go first. I don't have huge issues with him but he was always going to be tied to the success
