We need to win this by double digits - play a full game. Hopefully some of our bench players will get more minutes. One thing I've wondered about this season is if we tend to play at the level of the team we are playing against. This should be a game that we win easily, but my gut tells me we may very well struggle.

Honestly, I think many of these kids have a thicker skin that some people think. That doesn't mean anyone should get highly personal in their comments, but criticism of a particular play (bad pass, butterfinger hands, etc) is something they have likely heard from the time they started playing sports. I think back to things that were said to my daughter by other parents when she played various sports growing up (and they were said to her face, or during the game when she was on the court/pitch/whatever), and she learned to let it roll off her back. At least with an online forum they have the choice of reading the comments (or not).

I also noticed Brown’s improvement on the defensive end and it seems that the past two games she is putting a lot more effort into defense, which could be part of the reason her shots aren’t falling. I think the concussion protocol is why Trinity isn’t quite in game shape yet.

We need to settle down and close this out.

Gutsy move by Williams to wear that form fitting dress. If I wore something like that to the game, nobody would ever go to another game. Coach wears it well. Whalen needs to burn her outfit.

We had Moore then Theriot. I think Doyle was going to be the next PG, but we lost her with the coaching change. We need another PG for the leadership alone (everything else is icing on the cake).

That’s a good point about Yori - she didn’t tolerate lack of hustle. Or lack of effort. I remember a few transfers that were rumored to have those issues. Slightly more than a rumor - heard it from a dad of one of the players.

We were killed on the boards, had problems inbounding, and defense was questionable. That’s on us.

Even if we set aside calls by the refs, we still played poorly. No excuse for that.

I know she’s had an off day today, but Brown needs to start over Whitish. Brown needs to get going early. At least try it for a game - maybe Whitish would be better coming off the bench.

Looked to me like the MSU gal might have pushed off Nicea so that could be why there was no call. But Hannah needs to sit.

The thing is - we know Whitish can score. It just seems that there hasn’t been much consistency since her sophomore year. Maybe if Williams were to start Brown over Whitish for a game, it might light a fire under her and then we would have two solid scorers.

Brown is a good rebounder, and that is something that is really nice to see. i didn’t watch the game - only listened to the second half with Matt and Jeff. Sounded like Brady was making an impact so that is exciting to hear. Also sounded like Mitchell had some very positive minutes.

I have also felt Whitish is very inconsistent and sometimes “disappears” in games. I’ve wondered why Brown doesn’t start - maybe her defense? But what we get in scoring from her would seem to offset any issues she might have on D.
