Does Tai Webster have a guarantee to play deal because I cannot figure why he continues to play so many minutes -

Benny Parker and Tai Webster's stat lines are not what 25 plus minutes starters should be. Those are freshman first time out numbers -

We need Tai for his defense......Just wondering which guy did he shut down? Add in the turnovers and lack of making shots.......why should he keep getting 25 minutes plus a game?

Villanova Defense.....Let Zero shoot

Tai Webster has received more than enough chances the last 3 years and he still isnt a consistent player to log that many minutes.

It is interesting to see how Miles is allocating minutes during these games. The box score is a mess relating to rebounds, steals, assists and free throws and some guys got other guys points. They dont know what they are doing as scorekeepers by which they may see the game different than we do.. they missed alot stats for the Huskers. Huskers had better numbers than what is displayed above -
Last year's top 8 vs. this year's

I watched some drills and 5 on 5 the team has had over the last 2 weeks when I am able to sneak in as a blog media guy. Please dont get caught up in all the hype of the new freshman that everyone puffs them up like they did Webster 2 years ago as he is using Nebraska as a stepping stone to the NBA. lets be realistic. Ed Morrow is gifted athletically and will be a very good player as he develops but currently all he can do is dunk the ball offensively. OK in Bigten basketball how many dunks can you really get during a game, maybe one or two tops. He has trouble driving to the basket under control handling the basketball on the dribble and he has alot and I mean alot of work to shoot the ball and his form needs work too.. He air ball bad twice from around 15 feet. The Scouting report I can already see is stay off him and make him shoot. Glynn Watson. He is so small and thin. He has alot of work to do in the weight room. Parker pushes him in any direction he wants and digs in his pockets alot. being physical enough at the point will be the issue with playing time. McVeigh is another Aussie needing to get used to the physical play of D1 college basketball. Taller than Webster but very similar in alot of ways that I saw in Tai before. Jacobson I think is the most ready of the freshman to be able to play at the 5 position as he is not afraid of banging around under the basket. So far he is out playing Hammonds. The players that stood out the most and looked ready to go are. 1 Parker 2 White 3 Shields 4 Fuller 5 Jacobson -
There has been team workouts and so far the word is Andrew White and Nick Fuller standout the most.

I dont know if the guy was an "official team manager" as he was working the basketball camps with a camp shirt on..

After Basketball camp last week many of the current players will do pick up in the Hendrick so i stayed and watched and Morrow was sitting out with the trainer and I asked one of the managers whats going on over there and that's when he said about his foot injury. If it comes out later...... just call me Jay Glazer
-
I Heard at the Tim Miles basketball camp that Ed Morrow came into Lincoln with a foot fracture that is not healing properly. Might have to have surgery on it. Could be out for a extended period of time A foot issue is not the a good injury to start college basketball with.

There is two very good reasons that may of lead to Harriman leaving. 1) He was the lowest paid assistant after being on staff the longest. Hunter and Coach Mo came in after and got paid higher. 2) New Mexico admittance will be alot easier to get the foreign players into school then what it takes to get into Nebraska. I'm sure that bothers Harriman too

Havent heard much about this kid. I watched the highlight tapes and did not see much when it looked like neither team wanted to play basketball. I guess we beat out some mid-major programs like UTEP Loyola and Oakland. So a Arizona St or Northern Arizona or any other PAC12 teams didnt have any interest? I hope I am proved wrong, but I just don't see him as a high major player we should be looking for

I just dont understand Coach Miles. He says at his news conference that he is going to go with Fuller and he will be in the rotation from this time on 2 weeks ago till the end of the season. Now he is back to zero minutes. Is he that bad to not help this team for any minutes? I look at his stats the last 3 games Fuller got any playing time and I am really confused how these numbers are a liability for this basketball team. Last 3 games Fuller actually played: Minutes 59 Points 19 FG 8-15 53% FT 1-1 RB 10 Blocks 1 Steals 2 Assists 1 Turnovers 1 I thought Fuller and Petteway ran the pick n roll very well when the double team went to Petteway. Fuller could catch the ball and finish around the hoop I watched the games closely on Defense and I thought Fuller held his own and did not look like a huge liability on Defense. Miles is concerned that Fuller cannot keep guys from driving on him. Well I watched last night where Illinois players drove on Parker, Rivers, Shields, Webster, Smith, Abraham and even Petteway. So that excuse Coach Miles keeps saying to keep Fuller on the Bench something more than Miles is telling us because there is no coach around that would sit this kid the entire game that puts up the numbers above for some minutes of playing time. I thought going from no minutes to starter for Fuller was really dumb by Coach Miles and put alot of pressure on the kid. Why not ease Fuller into it and keep him at 10-20 minutes a game off the bench. Its like Coach Miles purposely set Fuller up to fail or play with Fuller's confidence the last 2 weeks. Zero to 100 and back to zero....SMH

I thought Fuller was one of the guys that continued to hustle during the Iowa game.
-
Well.......... it only took Coach Miles 85% of the season to finally give Fuller more than garbage minutes. If he would of been playing 8-15 minutes over the last 20 games we may have gotten a few more wins. His presents on the floor opens driving lanes

I thought Fuller did well against Maryland's post players -
3 for 16 shooting 3's I see Purdue tries new guys freshman and sophomores to shoot 3s and it works Whats wrong with putting Fuller out there to see if he can drop some threes. The Coaching staff says Fuller can shoot, He is crafty around the hoop and he can rebound. Why can't he play 8-10 minutes? This rotation isnt working and we are dead on the ability to rebound. Your 6'10 player has gotten less than 5 rebounds the last 5-6 games
