  1. Good win against a decent team with a few of the alumni in the house. Ahem...one noticeable exception
  2. First the negative; Connor's shot was flat all night. Easy correction. Hey, I knew it was going to be a rock fight, and oh goodness, it was. Zero complaints about the officials...well maybe two. But you had two defensive, tough assed teams out there. Refs let them play. For not having students in the house, the crowd was fantastic. One exception, the dude eating the hot dogs was pathetic! What a great win!
  3. Back home...to me...at the game...this game wasn't in doubt. From the get go, we were the better team. What made it a rock fight was the defensive effort from the beginning to end. Damn, that was fun.
  4. Any truth to the rumor that McDermott will be in the house today. He wants to be reminded of how great depth, defense and basketball is played...
  5. Another positive is a number of the players individually within that ten year window, are still active in the professional ranks.
  6. It is my understand that Phil Knight has personally donated $1 billion +. Their NIL collective is called Division Street. It is my understanding they have a mere $23 million annual budget. But mega additional funds are available as warranted.
  7. https://247sports.com/longformarticle/college-footballs-top-50-programs-ranked-by-nil-efforts-235181311/ Money numbers are out there...not sure on accuracy
  8. Norm has been an advocate for this change for a few years. I'm in agreement as well. Now, they need to get a grip on NIL money and transfer/portal rules.
  9. This is going to be a rock fight. Two good, physical, hard working defenses. Will the refs let 'em play?
  10. We sorta looked like a buy-in team in the second half. Better days should be ahead.
  11. May this year break new ground for the Husker basketball program. Let your imagination run wild!!!
  12. Something was certainly off last night. He was a half step slow all night. A few of my observations - he started the night with a sleeve on his calf. That sleeve was gone in the second half. - few, if any monster dunks this year, with more reliance on his improved perimeter game. Is his shoulder still an issue? - with how we are playing our bigs this year forcing Juwan away from the rim?
  13. The Southern bus followed me out of town this morning and all the way to the Omaha Airport. Did I mention it was at 3:00 a.m. My daughter said they appeared a bit tired
  14. Hard to complain about a 30+ point win. Came off a tournament championship, a long fight home and before a big game on Saturday against the Bruins. Good job men! By the way, glad to see Griffiths getting a few minutes and knocking down his shots. Maybe a good omen as we enter the new year.
  15. I would hope that they would wait for the students to return. I would also guess that many of the players have gone home for a few days.
  16. I once heard this said of President Carter - he is (was) a great man, unfortunately, he was not a great President.
  17. Eli had injury issues last year, and again this year. It is hard to play well, if you cannot stay on the floor.
  18. Yeah...this will be a very tough test today. Gotta be at our collective best.
