That's kind of good news. It means we will be 13 - 7 in Big 10, but go on the road in the NIT and lose to Colorado.

Instead of the halftime shoot around. I think we should do rebounding drills the entire time.

They have 16 second chance points on 12 offensive rebounds. The only reason it isn't 24 is because when they get an offensive rebound, they miss the shot, and get that rebound.

I'm getting to celebrate everytime we get a rebound in conference play.

Take pressure off of Martinez. We have talented enough RB's that they cannot run 18 times and Martinez 15 times. Trust Johnson, Yant, and Stepp more. Run Martinez at times. Now, we learned he had an ankle injury going into the game. I knew something was up when he had negative yard output. I thought today he was every bit the equal of Stroud, who is most likely going to be 1st team All Big 10. I had to laugh a few times when Stroud missed a wide open Olave, and overthrew Olave by a hair another time. I was imagining Nebraska fans if that was Martinez. I don't think you can keep Frost. Today's the type of day when you think we are getting there. Then, you remember Illinois, Minnesota, and Purdue, and think this is not going to work. Trev is in a no win situation. He keeps Frost. The downfall is if he goes 6 - 6 next year, that really will not be enough improvement for me to give him a 6th year. You fire him and you piss off 80 % of the fan base, who think Frost is the savior. Me, personally, would move on from him. The 80 % would be on the fire side with any coach who didn't play here.

I wonder what the terms are. Do we still get charged if he finds a new job? Could we Bobby Bonilla the pay out, and spread it out over 10 years? That way it is $2 million per year. My worry with keeping Frost is next year's expectations. Here's how I break it down. We should go 2 - 1 in non conference. Frost's average season against the West Division is 2 - 4. An easier cross over schedule might produce a 2 - 1 record. Let's say we do that and make a bowl game. Is that sufficient for him to stay? IMO that should be this year's goal, and next year we should be closer to winning the Big 10 west.

This team will probably find a way to lose to Bye this week.

Can I start making a dream coaches list 1. Zac Taylor, Cincinnati Bengals Has a pretty good gig right now, and has started turning around a Bengals team. Probably not leaving 2. Mark Stoops, Kentucky Would he come to Nebraska, or is he happy at Kentucky? 3. Bill O'Brien, Alabama OC Experience in the Big 10. Led PSU during a rough transition. Would he look for a better gig? 4. Matt Campbell, Iowa State Would he come to Nebraska, or did he miss his chance to name his next gig? And, if he does, is he going to be a 9 - 4 Bo type coach (don't get me wrong 9 - 4 looks really good right now) Anyone feel free to add, if they like.

I honestly do not see us winning a game the rest of the year. Alberts has to pull the trigger this year. We have the talent on the roster that we should be at worst 5 - 3 this year, not 3 - 5. Give Fleck this talent and this team is 6 - 2 at worst. This is coming from a guy who absolutely despises Fleck.
