  1. I'm surprised the Omaha zoo doesn't have any kangaroos.
  2. Couldn't watch the game. Ellis and Hammond are the same height and weight. Does Ellis have quite a bit more muscle so he could push Jake around?Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk He was moving Hammond pretty easily down low.
  3. I think Tai's going to gain more confidence in his shot as the season goes on. Last year, down the stretch he hit like 4-12 or something close to that. It looks like he isn't scared to shoot it if he is wide open. I think the only problem late in the game was the fact that Cincy was trying to close out quickly which made them think they weren't open.
  4. So, my keys to the game were playing well on the defensive end. Held Cincy to 65 points and 38.9% shooting. Good. Shoot the 3 well. Went 7-16 from 3. Good again. Get to the free throw line. Went 10-11. Not enough attempts. That and rebounding was the difference in the game. This team is going to keep getting better. Hammond needs to ask Santa for 20 pounds of muscle, but has really improved over last year. White struggled shooting. Even airballed a 3 footer. Shields was in foul trouble most of the game, but still had 14. The best Miles quote on the radio. "I told the refs that it is really tough to defend the post player when he is in the lane for 8 seconds."
  5. I don't have to even look it up to answer yes According to the record book, we went 17-17 against Oklahoma State in 1979.
  6. Tai has 17 tonight. Morrow playing like a freshmen. Hammond has 7 tonight. Parker I don't think should be out there.Tai can't shoot 3's - and he's giving up wide open looks that absolutely kill your flow and spacing. I can't find the stats, but he hit his first 2 3's tonight, plus got fouled shooting a 3.
  7. Similar, indeed. Still amazing how few mistakes Iowa makes, though, and how many the Huskers make. The difference between 5-7 and 12-0 is so slim. Here's to beating the Tennessee Washington Colonial Volunteers tomorrow. Oh, and women's victory over UConn (and I define victory in that one as coming within 20). Iowa did make mistakes, but they didn't cost them because they got the bounce. Had a fumble that Nebraska recovered while the Nebraska got called for hands to the face. I guess that was a Nebraska mistake, but the Iowa guy was also holding. Had 2 more fumbles that bounced right to them.
  8. Really need a big man that can dominate the boards. 16 offensive rebounds, and they dominated inside down the stretch. We had no answer for them when they got the ball down low.
  9. Good effort, boys, but no moral victories are allowed.
  10. Webster showed up though.Best game of his career? 21 points is his career high.
  11. The basketball team channeling the football team. Make furious comeback at the end, only to lose in heartbreaking fashion.
  12. Webster showed up though.
  13. Tai has 17 tonight. Morrow playing like a freshmen. Hammond has 7 tonight. Parker I don't think should be out there.
  14. Cincinnati has done that all game against us when we drive to the basket, and NO whistles.
  15. That was NOT A FOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Hey, announcers, Cincinnati fouls they just don't called for fouls.
  17. Hey, refs, Cincy's been doing that the entire 2nd half. Pushing off. Jumping on our players backs.
  18. Cincy had 3 players take 3 steps each on that play.
  19. It's good to see we aren't the only ones who foul 3 point shooters.
  20. Shields up to 13 points already, with a chance to score his 14th from the line.
  21. I disagree with that call on Hammond. Cincy's been doing the exact same thing the entire 2nd half.
  22. Right now, the difference in the game, is they are killing us on the glass, and raining 3's. That last possession by them was the 2nd half in a nutshell. They get 2 rebounds on offense, and the Cincy player nails a 3.
  23. I don't mind him taking out Hammond. He had played the entire 2nd half to that point. About 7 minutes. He's only avg. 14 min. a game.
  24. Nice finish by that Cincy player.
