Sad truth is that recruits would rather be in El Paso than Lincoln at this point in time. And a coach trying to rebuild a program needs to be an ace recruiter (Tom Crean, Tom Izzo, John Calipari) which Doc did not bring to Nebraska. I understand the lure of the big conferences, but the appeal fades when you get fired. I hope he gets another shot at a C-USA level conference.

I thought Colorado fans (throwing beer bottles and snowballs at football games) were the worst until I met Arizona State fans. They drink like Colorado fans, talk like Creighton fans, and think they have a résumé like USC football. The Tucson PD hauls them off, zip-tied like bags of garbage, from every football game. The only fans I've met who were more obnoxious were two Nevada fans when Nebraska played in Vegas, and with a sample size of two I can't yet evaluate the whole fan base of Nevada.

Don't worry Cip, I got the Buffalosers covered here in the PAC-12. My football seats are right next to the visitor section so I got a little damp from the crying when CU came to the desert.

I don't believe the games are fixed or refs are intentionally biased, but how can a referee look at a 7-1 disparity and say "yup, that seems right"

Haskins was fired for academic impropriety, but the pattern is still accurate.

I call it the curse of Clem Haskins. It's kinda like the curse of Danny Nee. Fire the most successful coach in program history and suddenly watch as subsequent hires (Monson, Smith) (Collier, Sadler) fail to reach similar successes. The thing is Minnesota did it in Football too, firing Mason and watching Brewster and Kill flounder, and in professional hoops, firing Saunders and watching McHale, Casey, Wittman Rambis and Adelman miss the playoffs.

Redrum. Sorry about the tracking. I've tried two different VCRs (all I have on hand) Both have similar tracking issues. One won't even rewind anymore and adjusting the tracking seems to make it worse. I'm still tinkering with settings to see if I can get better quality. The real issue is 23 year old tapes and I'm trying to get them digitized before they degrade any more. I've waited for 20 years to see if the university would finally find the initiative to put the games from the greatest era in Husker Hoops on DVD right up there on the website with the compelling football DVDs of us pummeling FCS teams.

I had a request for KU at NU from 1991-92. I've not found it in the collection yet, but you can see the most compelling highlights from that game at the top of the broadcast in this game. This is the next visit by the Jayhawks to the BDSC. Enjoy

It's mostly 1990-94. I moved to Minnesota in 94. A lot fewer games were on television then, and most of those were regional rather than national. Difficult to remember how hard it was to get Nebraska basketball information/games before the internet really began to catch on.
