  1. It's never good to have half nuts.
  2. I'm so nervous about this lead.
  3. There are talks about another Big Ten realignment. Minnesota insider Greg Flugaur reports this came from a Big Ten source.
  4. Be loud during the game. Check the Nebraska/Oregon volleyball scores during timeouts.
  5. You mean, like this?
  6. Anytime We both know there will be plenty more times. We won't be a two-loss team the rest of the season. I know you, I, and most others on this board just want what's best for the team. Let's just hope it comes sooner rather than later.
  7. Quick side note. Riley and Eichorst are both paid off in full. Pelini is done I think sometime around February 2019. So it is possible that the books might be open again around March. Maybe that's what they have been preparing for?
  8. But wouldn't 0-6 to Creighton and 1 tournament appearance in that time frame already qualify as "not his guy"? I'm just not sure how 1-6 and 2 appearances changes that decision if that's the logic. My point being that not much should change an AD's decision based on the outcome of this season.
  9. I really don't want to bite on this at this point in time. But... It's this situation I don't understand. At this point, you (AD) either think he's your guy or he's not. The final outcome of this season shouldn't make a difference.
  10. Sure. But we're a football school. Miles has been around for 6.25 seasons, yet Frost was able to get 1 more football win than Miles did in a fraction of that time.
  11. Mine is definitely not a reaction to yesterday's loss. I sat down and looked at both Nebraska and Creighton's stats and it made me a little nervous. Creighton can put up some offense, which is an area we've started to struggle in a bit recently. If we can play some solid defense, then we're in a good spot. I just don't know what team is going to show up on Saturday.
  12. Not to divert off topic too much, but I was curious. How did the Top 25 RPI do last season in terms of quadrant records? Top 25 Average Quadrant Record: Q1: 5.4-4.6 Q2: 6.2-1.2 Q3: 8.0-0.7 Q4: 7.0-0.2 So basically, Q1: 5-5, Q2: 6-1, Q3: 8-1, and Q4: 7-0. We are 1-2, 0-0, 2-0, and 4-0. Looks like we have some work to do in Q1 and Q2.
  13. Just added one more data point for us in the above post. Q1: 1-2 Q2: 0-0 Q3: 2-0 Q4: 4-0
  14. Well I knew that. I guess Google doesn't know how to calculate "days since 12/5/10" because it returned "May 12,2010 - December 6, 2018" and I didn't catch that. 2,925 it is.
  15. Here are the current rankings for #82 Minnesota: Oklahoma State #58 (win) Utah #157 (win) Washington #61 (win) Texas A&M #143 (win) Ohio State #19 (loss) Boston College #106 (loss)
  16. If we lose to Creighton, it's going to happen anyway.
  17. 2,925 days to be more precise.
  18. The NET was created by the NCAA. Here's a decent background on it: https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/article/2018-11-26/net-explained-ncaa-adopts-new-college-basketball-ranking Essentially they first thought "hmm, maybe we should take an aggregate look across multiple metrics to develop a ranking?" But then they said "hold my beer, let's create our own!" And so the NET is now the ranking that is used to determine which teams fall into which quadrants.
  19. Just so you know, the Dec. 4 update had Minnesota at #82. A Quadrant 1 road game is 1-75. They will likely climb into that Q1 category, but at the end of the season, it's probably a Q2 loss.
  20. Harry Potter - 75 Voldemort - 82 7 Public service announcement: Children, please stay off HHC for the rest of winter if this happens. Just going for it. Make it 17 in a row at home: Harry Potter - 82 Voldemort - 75 7
  21. That's right, it's the NET that is used to determine quadrants now.
  22. The RPI system is R.I.P. They did away with it after last season.
