    In reality this probably had nothing to do with anything. Hoiberg was a 1000% lock, and because the team just got back into town and Bounds made his announcement, Moos waited to make an announcement until today. Prohm was just a mere coincidence in timing, just like all the other speculation that's been going around this past month.

    I wonder if they thought about it the other way too of "how would it look if we just hired a new basketball coach and Bounds retires shortly after"? Both really good questions.

    Actually, yes. But all this speculation makes it seem like Moos has been incredibly accommodating to both Miles and Hoiberg (except for how awkward and nontraditional this has turned out).

    It does. Unless it's related to academic vs. athletic budget conflicts that he doesn't want to deal with anymore. But it's also very possible he's been eyeing this decision for awhile now.

    Don't forget that the worst score gets dropped from your final standings when all is said and done! Also within this week's standings is the postseason tourney prediction and "never missed a prediction" bonus. Lots of moving parts this week.
