Don't be ridiculous. Why would that ever, possibly, even be a thing? That would NEVER happen.

Really feel like this hurts our chances in making the NCAA tournament...

2020-2021 HHC March Madness Bracket Challenge

What's Auto Fill's transfer situation looking like this offseason? -
Might as well add UCLA to the list. Lost their last 4 regular season games. Couldn't even win a Pac-12 title or conference tournament. Backed into a Final Four bid in the tournament.

Always a scary sight:
-
UCLA? The 11-time NCAA champions? That school is up there with the likes of Michigan State, UNC, Duke, Kentucky. Or you're just saying in this year as a play-in team?
-
But isn't it assumed if ones says "dunk" the basket has been made? Like I can't go around saying I can dunk the ball knowing damn well I can't even jump high enough to be stuffed by the rim. Exhibit A (0:07): missed dunk Exhibit B (0:17): made dunk That's dunking at a 0.500 clip. (Don't mind the student announcers.)
-
Correction: a made dunk is a made dunk. We'll have to improve on our dunking shooting percentage next season.

Or it's very possible that legalized sports betting is now a lot more accessible and a major shift away from the GME stock craze has moved its entertainment money into March Madness. All these people putting those $1,400 checks to use.

A higher standard is preferred. Backing into the 16, and getting blown out in two of their last four games is inadequate. Here's some other teams who have such low standards as well: Oregon: lost 2 of their last 4 tournament games; Pac-12 regular season champions the last 3 seasons; couldn't even make it to the Sweet 16 in 2019 and got blown out by USC this year. Florida State: lost 2 of their last 4 tournament games; got blown out in those two losses. Alabama: lost 2 of their last 4 tournament games; SEC regular season champions and conference tournament champions; got blown out in one of those and lost to a play-in team in their other loss. Villanova: lost 2 of their last 4 tournament games; Big East regular season champions 3 seasons in a row; couldn't even make it to the Sweet 16 in 2019 and got blown out in one of their losses. Oral Roberts: lost 2 of their last 4 tournament games; Summit League tournament champions; couldn't even make it to the Sweet 16 in 2008 and got blown out in one of their losses. Loyola Chicago: lost 2 of their last 4 tournament games; Missouri Valley champions and conference tournament champions; couldn't even make it out of their side of the bracket in 2018 and lost to a team that never would have made the Big Dance had they not won their conference tournament in 2021. Syracuse: lost 2 of their last 4 tournament games; couldn't even get past the first round in 2019 and lost to a mid-major team in 2021.

Let's just say that over at Gopher Hole... they are fighting about whether "All In" is a meaningless phrase or not. Not exactly the kind of message board material you'd want to see after hiring a coach two weeks ago. HAHA! And meanwhile on the Utah State message board, all their time and energy is trying to justify that maybe they were on the decline with Craig Smith, or that Utah is such a worse job than Utah State, or that they're going to root for BYU over Utah.
-
Thad Matta is the "Associate AD". Although this seems to be a "make it what you want it to be", I'm assuming that doesn't come with any sort of in-game duties.

Would you play for Coach Hoiberg's Huskers?

Charles Barkley weighs in: -
The key is to net better from your transfers coming into the program than the ones leaving.
-
NCAA baseball account taking notice:
-
If these are our key losses, then I consider that progress. We had so much turnover from leading scorers under Hoiberg's Year 0 and Year 1.

Posting this now, since the Oregon/USC matchup will result in a Pac-12 win and a Pac-12 loss either way. Conference Performance Through Day 2 of Sweet Sixteen (Sunday): Rank Conference W L Pct Remaining 1 Pac-12 Conference 13 2 87% 3 2 American Athletic Conference 3 1 75% 1 3 West Coast Conference 3 1 75% 1 4 Summit League Conference 2 1 67% 0 5 Missouri Valley Conference 3 2 60% 0 6 Southeastern Conference 7 5 58% 1 7 Big 12 Conference 8 6 57% 1 8 Big Ten Conference 8 8 50% 1 9 Big East Conference 4 4 50% 0 10 Conference USA 1 1 50% 0 11 Mid-American Conference 1 1 50% 0 12 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference 1 1 50% 0 13 Southland Conference 1 1 50% 0 14 Southwestern Athletic Conference 1 1 50% 0 15 Atlantic Coast Conference 4 7 36% 0 16 America East Conference 0 1 0% 0 17 Atlantic 10 Conference 0 2 0% 0 18 Atlantic Sun Conference 0 1 0% 0 19 Big Sky Conference 0 1 0% 0 20 Big South Conference 0 1 0% 0 21 Big West Conference 0 1 0% 0 22 Colonial Athletic Association 0 1 0% 0 23 Horizon League Conference 0 1 0% 0 24 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference 0 1 0% 0 25 Mountain West Conference 0 2 0% 0 26 Northeast Conference 0 1 0% 0 27 Ohio Valley Conference 0 1 0% 0 28 Patriot League 0 1 0% 0 29 Southern Conference 0 1 0% 0 30 Sun Belt Conference 0 1 0% 0 31 Western Athletic Conference 0 1 0% 0

What a shot for Alabama. Wow.
-
A higher standard is preferred. Backing into the 16, and getting blown out in two of their last four games is inadequate. So is going 0-7 in the first round. I'd take a Sweet Sixteen appearance any way I can get it, even if it's a play-in vs. 11 seed, vs. 6, vs. 14 and someone tries to say that's the easy route to get there.

If we can get a solid squad together and play Hoiberg's offense as intended, that Nebraska/Creighton matchup will be real fun to watch, from both sides!
