    I used to see him at the Husker basketball games back when he was a student there. I’m sure he’d be fine for us to pay big dollars for a homerun hire to help us get that elusive NCAA Tournament win.

    I doubt it. I get the feeling he’s the type of person that wants to see all sports at the university do well.

    I don’t see us shelling out that kind of money either. I hope they’re willing to pay that much for a big name hire, but I’m not going to hold my breath.

    I believe Matta made roughly $3.39 million his last year at Ohio St. We may have to pay him closer to $4 million. Matta is my #1a choice, with Hoiberg a very close #1b.

    Does anyone have an extra $25 million sitting around that they can offer up as a one time bonus to any coach that can win Nebraska our first NCAA tournament game? That might entice a bigger name coach to come here. I’d do it if I had the cash but I’m currently broke.
