In the past one could figure out who was serious by who took a visit to your campus. Maybe that will again happen this spring/summer.

2021 SG Keisei Tominaga - Juco - LOI
hhcmatt replied to uneblinstu's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Guys who tend to be superior in size, athleticism and shooting tend to be in demand. Gonna have to give up something to get some shooting in here and let's see what we can do with the Far East Minden Cary Cochran -

I think he was in Juco because of academics. -
Dennis Gates was an assistant at Cal during the same time period when Penn St AD Sanny Barbour was there. I became aware of this after it was pointed out that Armon Gates seemed to go out of his way to talk to Barbour after our game at Penn St.

If Miles mentions Rebecca Lobo in his podcast this week, then you'll know.

Battle is kind of interesting in that his freshman year he was basically a 3pt specialist and in the 15 games he played in this year (GW's season was limited) he took half from 2, half from 3. I think it was a combination of GW needing him to takes guy off the dribble and/or him having worked on that ability. Some of this might be his role or the offense but his assist % numbers make Teddy Allen look like Steve Nash; this dude was either shooting or tossing it around the perimeter when he touched the ball.

If you walk outside in the morning, the air is crisp and you can feel that members of the Nebraska basketball team are ready to transfer out to open up scholarship opportunities. It's Transfer SZN. Battle also happens to be from the Minneapolis area

Postgame Notes via UNL*-Kobe Webster finished with a season-high 23 points, including a career-best seven 3-pointers. It marked his second 20-point effort of 2020-21 (also vs. Georgia Tech) and 26th of his career.*-Nebraska’s 14 3-pointers was a season-high (previous high 13). It’s the sixth time NU has had at least 10 3-pointers in a game, and today marks just the second time this season the Huskers have had 10+ 3-pointers in consecutive games (also at Creighton, vs. Doane)*-Thorir Thorbjarnarson dished out a career-high six assists, marking the third straight game with a season or career high in assists*-Nebraska finished with 21 assists, its highest total against a Division I opponent this year. NU has had 19 or more assists in three of the last four games*-The last three Nebraska-Northwestern games have all been decided by five points or less

Yeah, you get up to 4 options. I don't think we will be one of those options unless there are 10 teams from the B1G that make the tournament.
-
Paths to the NCAA tournament 1. Win B1G tournament 2. Indiana or Penn State wins enough games to get into the tournament, giving the B1G 10 teams in the tournament. 4 or more of those teams are hit with a Covid outbreak, meaning that the conference replaces them with one of their four designated backups which includes Nebraska.

If Yvan does leave I think we can pull the trigger on a project big as the value that Yvan provides in being a body you can rely on when Walker has foul trouble should diminish next year with Andre playing more minutes.

HHCC Game #26 - at Northwestern (Mar. 7, 12:30 CST)

Northwestern 70 - Nebraska 66 2 players -
Nebraska Cornhuskers (7-18) at Northwestern Wildcats (8-14) Date: Sunday March 7th, 2021 Time: 12:30 p.m. Arena: Welsh-Ryan Arena Broadcast: BTN Nor thwestern Info Head Coach: Chris Collins Location: Evansville, IL Conference: B1G Nickname: Wildcats Mascot: Willie the Wildcat Typical Rotation Depth: 9 Line: Northwestern by 7.5 KenPom rank: 100 Player to Wach: Boo Buie Northwestern needs a PG to make their offense work and Buie in his second year is finally proving to be that guy. Has taken on more of a scoring role in conference though his biggest asset is generating looks for the tall shooters on his team. PG SG SF PF C Pct 1 0 Boo Buie 6-2 180 So 1 Chase Audige 6-4 200 So 10 Miller Kopp 6-7 215 Jr 31 Robbie Beran 6-9 215 So 22 Pete Nance 6-10 225 Jr 19.2 Northwestern has a traditional center in Ryan Young so they spend some time with him at center and with more of a small ball lineup anchored by Nance William & Mary transfer Chase Audige dominated the shots earlier in the season. Audige's efficiency hasn't held up having to take all those shots...heck even his FT shooting seems bothered as he's only shooting 56% on the season. Pete Nance is finally starting to realize his Roby-esque potential as he's becoming a problem to defend inside and a decent threat from outside. Will play the 4 or 5 for Collins and leads the team in rebounds and blocks. 6'10' 245# Center Ryan Young is a load who can convert in the paint when the team looks his way Kopp and Beran are two tall guys who shoot 3s. They've underperformed most of the year from outside which explains how Northwestern lost 15 games in a row. Veteran guards Ryan Greer and Anthony Gaines are veteran role players who are the 4th-5th scoring option type players Freshman PG Ty Berry backs up Buie at the point; it's a significant dropoff offensively at this point. The Skinny: Northwestern on paper seems like it should work with 3pt shooting and length everywhere. In real life though the shots haven't been falling and the length hasn't provided much in terms of shot blocking. Most everyone comes back again next year so maybe that's when they put it together. Northwestern is on a 2 game winning streak due to clamping down on defense. Both teams will try and take away the paint so at points this will look like a 3pt contest. The winner is likely the team that figures out how to work into the paint. Nebraska probably needs to put away Northwestern early if they want to win because it's unlikely they're going to score consistently at the end of a game in this matchup. Prediction: Northwestern 70 - Nebraska 66 View full article

If they had Hoiberg or Musselman money, which is money to buyout and pay a high end coach, they wouldn't have hired Richard Pitino in the first place
