  1. sports reference has all the PERs going all the way back to the 09-10 season.
  2. our PERs kind of tell the story of this season. not that this stat means everything, but it was interesting to see. gill had a shockingly bad PER, and we went on our winning streak after he got hurt. Ed's PER is just as good as Tai's which would explain why things fell apart after he got hurt. tai-19.7 Ed-19.7 watson-18.8 jacobson-15.2 jordy-13.9 jack-13.5 jeriah- 13.5 roby 10.5 taylor- 9.4 fuller- 3.3 gill-2.7
  3. i wouldn't fire miles this year. he's caught some bad breaks, and he continues to recruit top rated talent that will eventually pay off. the odds of a hoiberg/marshall type of a coach coming here seem really bad.
  4. if we can get another ball handler and not let any key players transfer, my expectations would be right around 19-20 wins. we should hopefully have enough depth next year where a couple injuries won't derail our season.
  5. unless ed is 100%, there is no reason to bring him back.
  6. 1 point loss vs osu/rutgers and a home loss against gardner webb, or we'd be 13-8. pretty frustrating.
  7. well i'd assume they are 2018 recruits given we have no open 2017 spots at the moment.
  8. there's no reason to play him unless he's 100% healthy.
  9. hopefully we never have to ask again "why isn't horne playing more?"
  10. i'm pretty sure everyone feels this way. nobody is saying miles should be gone after this year, but then again you never know what eichorst could be thinking.
  11. with 10+ games left on the schedule, it's possible miles is trying to light a fire under horne and is planning to play him heavy minutes to finish out the season. At least that is what i hope is going on. You can argue horne has been our best freshman but has played the least minutes.
  12. with as bad as our record is, we should be playing all our young guys more and trying to get ready for the next 2 years.
  13. they could both be playing. horne played alright against rutgers as well. 5 pts 3 rebounds in 12 min.
  14. i just know jeriah can shoot and we have no shooters. he was also a big part of our 4 game win streak. unless he's flat out doing nothing at practice, i'm not sure how you can bench him for a whole game.
  15. hope miles had a valid reason for this. we went 3-15 from 3....
  16. i don't follow the women's team much. can someone explain how they are so bad this year? i know they have a new coach but how do you lose to an unranked purdue team by 44?
  17. i'm not sure what your source is, but adidas will absolutely make him a custom shoe that fits. they do it all the time for 7 footers that have massive feet. i'm beginning to think ed just has bad feet and is blaming it on adidas. ed just needs to take as much time off as he can until he's healthy. sadly there isn't a whole lot to play for until the B1G tourney.
  18. agree and just look at the talent sadler left miles. miles basically 6 scholarship guys to work with his first year.
  19. the difference is that miles got us to the tournament and is recruiting better talent. I'd rather keep miles an extra year than fire him too early.
  20. i'm not going to give him any excuses next year. he has to produce at least an nit team next year, or he's probably gone. most major conference coaches would probably be fired after 3 losing seasons, but miles has done enough to earn at least 1 extra year IMO. not to say this will be a losing season, but it is trending that way.
  21. doubt he would get fired this year regardless of how we finish, though i think eichorst is going to lay it on the line as to what he needs to do to keep his job after this year.
  22. need to finish 10-4. first step in doing that would be getting ed back and beating a last place rutgers team on saturday.
  23. horne averaged 11.5 ppg during our 4 game win streak. there's a good chance we wouldn't have beaten southern without him, so it is a bit confusing that miles greatly reduced his minutes the last 2 games. Didn't think it was the right time for fuller to be playing when he had played a total of 10 minutes before the michigan game. I do think Horne could have handled the Center position for a 5 minute stretch.
  24. he's played in 4 games this year as a redshirt junior, and we are only going to have more depth next year. it just seems like the obvious choice for him, but i honestly have no problem with him staying. he's seems like a great teammate.
  25. i don't care if fuller stays on the team or not, but horne should be playing more.
