Its a very good defense against poor shooting 3 point teams nut against decent to great 3 point shooting teams that move the ball well its usually a disaster. Not sure why we don't try something different once in awhile.. Why does it always have to be the same, It should change depending on the opponent we are playing.

uneblinstu's postgame chatter : vol 17; ed 15-IOWA
TourneyBound replied to Bugeaters1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Looking at that box score and those Free Throws just kills me. We have shot it well from FT line all year and the game we needed it most we laid an egg. Rollie really stands out, starting pg needs to make his FT's. Looked up his season stats and his first 3 years he shot over 80% from the FT line. Last year was 70% and this year is 66%. Not a good trend there. His assist per game has really dropped off from what he put up at Utah as well, not sure if thats due to the system or what but man I was expecting more from him this year. -
Would of really of like to see GG get some minutes in this Iowa game.. Give him a shot the guy can shoot and it was a decent matchup for him.

This one feels like a game where we could get GG some minutes. Hoping Fred agrees.

Anyone watching this Penn st northwestern game. Good grief. Penn st has shot 43 FT so far with 3:00 left. Horrible home crowd for Penn st. In a pretty big game as well

Wisconsin has a pretty big one as well with Iowa at home. cant afford to start 0-3

Does it tell us where we would fit in conference standing wise if we finish 10-10 by chance? Im just curious.

Do we need to tweak our starting lineup?? Seems like we are struggling to score with our current starting lineup. I think Id prefer Morgan over Meah. I like having Connor come off bench for now but could slide him in there and play Berke at 5. We get into conference play and we cant afford slow starts offensively.

How we feeling headed into conference play.. I’m still unsure how we will stack up.. January schedule looks brutal. Need to beat UCLA. They should be in top 15 when they come here next weekend

also lost at USC 51-82, but could be kind of a trap game here.

Are we better with Worster or would we be better if we still had J Law playing PG? I lean J Law just because of his shooting. -

Ya I was expecting a lot more from Worster. He does a good job running the show and getting us into our offense but has struggled shooting and with turnovers a both more than I expected. -

I have been impressed as well with Berke and his rebounding as well as his defense. His shot though is bad right now. Im trying to think back when I watched him this summer when he played for his country and it seemed like his shot was a lot better then. We need him to start hitting a few. With Worster struggling shooting as well that could be a problem when we get into conference play.
