Purdue a 1.5 point underdog at Penn State seems like a head scratcher. But then again so did the creighton Kansas line..

Is it weird this is the first thing I come to after games…?? I think with our deep team and Hoiberg still playing so many players it’s just fascinating to come look at this and see who fared the best!

Any word on Berke or Gary?? We need them for this one! -
Feels like the conference won’t have that Purdue team like we have had last couple years but will be deeper with a lot of teams on the same tier as far as talent. Don’t really see a team that stands out right now as conference champion.

Ya tomorrow definitely worries me. They can shoot the 3 and that’s not usually a good deal with the defense we play.

Boy the Big 10 is loaded this year!!!!! It’s gonna be a grind. Buckle up!

Interesting numbers for this game. Gary really jumps out. Also that stretch in 2nd half when Brice picked up his 4th foul was huge. Prolly cost us the win. I was at the game and had some pretty good seats to see what was happening out there.. Watching Gary when he runs it sure looks like he is still favoring that shoulder but maybe its just me. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?? Also saw Morgan and Brice getting into it early in game as Morgan wasn't where he was supposed to be. Would be nice to combine Morgans offensive abilities with Meah's fire and defensive abilities into one player.

Isn't it weird that Morgan was sold on coming here to play the Mast role and I have yet to see him even attempt a 3. Watching him play he doesn't really strike me as someone who plays like Mast at all. More of a back to the basket down low guy. Would still like to see more from him before I write him off.

Berke & Mast playing together next year intrigues me. I was expecting Berke to be more selfish(no clue why) but seems to really know his role and not try to do too much. He has been great defensively and rebounding the ball. Hopefully his offensive game continues to grow as he gets more comfortable.

Keisei had the only positive +/- in this game for the mad ants.... hmmm where have I seen this before.
-
Its too bad it couldnt of worked out to watch Keisei play in sioux Falls this weekend in the G league. I looked at schedule and he plays there next friday...

I still remember watching the first game and Samari Curtis putting up a 3 and wondering what the world kind of form/shot that was I just saw. Prolly the slowest release in college basketball history. He was gone a few games later. Lol

some thoughts Berke- timid shooting 3s. Can see why after he attempted a couple. I think back to his games over seas this summer and thought he shot the ball considerably better. If he can’t have confidence to make the 3 then we might have to look elsewhere. I do like him on boards. Sam Hoiberg- had a couple wide open 3s and couldn’t hit. Missed his FT at end of game. Just doesn’t appear to have the same energy he did last year. I know him and keisei were tight so maybe him being gone is part of it or maybe even his injury. Brice-couple bogus charge calls felt like it took him out of his game. Saw this some last year where his body language is just bad. Saw him get beat on a couple defensive rebounds as well. Need more energy from him meah-was actually pretty dang good inside tonight but once again him on perimeter is a disaster rollie- yikes he struggled with just about everything tonight. Hopefully just an off game uhlis- was pretty happy with his play tonight. Think he might of had one bad turnover but other than that he was solid Gavin- played pretty well. Had a nice pass for an easy score. Doesn’t force things Connor- need him to hit his 3s. Did have a couple nice drives for some buckets. Made his FTS which were big. morgan- surprised but don’t believe we have seen him shoot a 3 yet.. needs to improve his defense and rebounding. I think those two factors led to him not playing as much tonight gary- was great defensively tonight but man he has to finish at the time better. Left way to many points out there. i hate to say it but man I’m just not seeing it from this team. Hope they can get things figured out but scoring seems to be so difficult either way these guys.. I do watch body language out there and guys do seem to get along good which is a good sign. Really miss Mast if you ask me. He was just the perfect 5 in this system and these guys we got are too hesitant to shoot the 3. Berke had an open 3 but put ball on floor and traveled. Got to shoot it!! im headed up to SD next week and am a little worried..

Was a bit confused with the trapping defense which led to some wide open 3s. With our height didn't expect us to need to do that but maybe that's just the defense Fred wants to run. Meah if hes going to play needs to stay on post and not be out on perimeter.
