  1. In my experience... Kids who the game moves too fast for are either: 1. Bad 2. Young 3. Not bought in and more focused on themselves, so they're not doing what they're asked to do before they do what they can do. I don't think he's bad. You can't call him young anymore. So while I don't think he's a selfish kid or a bad teammate, my guess is he's more focused on himself and what he's doing, and not how he fits and moves in the big picture to create opportunities for himself and others. In my personal opinion, and clearly I am not there, he needs a fire lit under his ass and needs to be challenged. "Low confidence" is such a cop-out. Playing with fire, violence, and toughness is a choice.
  2. They guy who needs to get his head out of his ass is Gavin Griffiths.
  3. Ulis is simply not very good and Rollie, who was one of my early favorite players, is becoming increasingly difficult to stick up for. He is struggling.
  4. I feel none of you want to hear this but so be it... Sam and Essegian both played 25 minutes apiece. 25 minutes was the highest total of Sam's season so far. Their two perimeter guys combined for 61 points. Sam is: 1. Better at home than he is on the road. He's an energy guy that gets the crowd into it and feeds off off the crowd, in short spurts. 2. Better with less minutes. He can't be a full-time guy, he does not possess the length to contest shooters. I've never seen someone work harder flying at shooters to contest, and watch the 3pt just splash in his face.
  5. NU - 79 IA - 77 4 Make or "not really break, but continue bubble watch type of season" game for us.
  6. This should be a ranked basketball team.
  7. NU - 72 UCLA - 73 Man……. Idk…. Seems illogical to pick against us at home in conference play. But idk. UCLA has some dudes.
  8. Can we just call this game and let people go home. Uuuuuggggglllllyyyy
  9. I’d argue if his teammates cut and move better off the ball when he gets to the paint we’d be appreciating him more. Also, playing in a starting line up with a terrible offensive post, inconsistent 3pt three point shooters like BB and Gary, and iso scorer like Brice - isn’t exactly conducive to assists.
  10. I haven’t checked in a couple games - but for most of the season he had the highest +/- on the team. He’s highly effective and a phenomenal team and individual defender. Just not putting the ball through the hole as often as we’d like.
  11. I think you guys are severely under rating Rollie’s quickness and impact on our team. I believe his shooting %’s will revert back to the mean and this won’t be a conversation.
  12. Islands Oasis of Grand Island - 75 Island Oasis of Honolulu - 66
  13. Easy win against a bad team. We got bored. At this point I’m going to need a written statement/explanation from Fred as to why Meah does any of the “perimeter stuff.” It’s coach malfeasance.
  14. Idk maybe I’m just used to a few road beat-downs every year and this didn’t really bother me. Caught an amped up, hot team on the wrong day. We matched up bad with them.
  15. They have committed to taking away anything in the paint and not fouling (especially not and1 or shooting fouls). And we’re doing a hell of a job of it.
