I can understand your point. Most B1G schools NIL money is football, MBB, WBB, and then it gets split over the rest. Now there are a few schools where VB does better, thinking PSU, and WI. But then their WBB programs are not good. Would be interesting to see how the west schools do the NIL.

I think Kennadi is better suited for SB than BB but if she wants to be on the team then I am fine with it. My problem is Amy makes 900K a year and as a employee her children can go to UNL at a discounted rate. So why is Kennadi on a scholarship? I can also see why more NIL money is going to VB. IMHO I think Weidner needs to call it a career. I understand she wants to finish on a high note but at some point you need to think of your future.

While we mostly felt this game was going to be a loss, I am glad we showed what happened in LA was not who we really are. It was also was fun to watch OSU get smoked by them yesterday. But agree we need to work on what is now a new standard in the B1G.

Terry Pettit did a lot of work to make this a volleyball state. NE produces more D1 VB players per capita than every state less HI. Also Cook and now DBK love to get players that played multi sports in HS. So in the 50 years NE has had 4 VB coaches how many WBB coaches?

Nice 4th quarter. While Nissley does have her problems in handling the ball she makes up for it in other ways, the rebounds were a big help in getting a win tonight. Great to see Bozan and Petrie step up today. Petrie while not on the level of Potts has had a nice year for us. Britt will learn from those mistakes. Now let's show UCLA how we can play tomorrow.

High School games are not 48 minutes. I think 32 minutes would be a fairly standard game length.

Hopefully she was over shadowed being on a very good team. Also we do not know is she was holding out for another school and a offer did not come. We need players who will push Nissley and Hake. We really need a athletic 4-5, thinking 6'4" or 6'5" to replace AM.

I did not read the article. I just remember she uncommitted from them and chose NE. I think she had a few schools offer but no major D1 if I remember correctly. Correct me if I am wrong.

AM was going to go to South Dakota State before CV19 hit and made her rethink her school.

Nissley at 6'0 has the height but does not have the foot speed. Hake has the foot speed but at 5'8" can get into trouble with defenders 4-5 inches taller. Agree Moriarty really never leveled up from where she was at in HS. That happens sometimes players that look promising in HS just can not translate it to the college game.

We are now out of the 1st round bye in the B1G tourney. Currently at a 10. We need to beat NW and maybe need some help to get back in that position. Hope Prince is back for that game.

They should have played them, even if it was at a neutral location. Agree it is not fair the the rest of the league.

Last night IL played with 7 available players.

I watched the UCLA and IL game last night and it was said the B1G will make a decision by the weekend regarding those games.

Yes Hake has taken a step up in her play this year. What we need going forward is for her and Nissley to both bring it every game. Both have had games where they have been a non factor. Also we have enough guards even if Allison calls it a career. Will need to hit the portal for our 4-5s. We have good pieces coming back. Need to finish strong with 2 more wins before going into the B1G tourney.

Hake is a streaky shooter. Glad she was on tonight.
