We played the same five, the entire 4th quarter. Warriors!
-
Girls must be in shape. I don't recall much subbing the 2nd half. Well done Ladies!!
-
Scoggin not hitting shots, but is doing a good job breaking their press. So far, so good!
-
The smile on their faces at the end, my favorite part. Well done ladies. Well done staff.
-
Would sure help to get Porter or Brady (or both) back today. I wonder when/if Cayton will get cleared to play any time soon.
-
Bright and early Redsteve. Well done. My only expectation is to be entertained. GBR!

January 3rd vs Rutgers - 2:00 PM - BTN+ Reminder.... Tomorrow 1:00 PM vs Northwestern on BTN
-
I see BTN+ has the Nebraska vs Michigan game scheduled for January 7th at 5:00. I guess I'll keep the subscription going another month. GBR

Cravens is another. Really like her hustle, especially her 'help' defense. She and Izzy complement each other very well.
-
Agree. Dressing only 7 players is a huge disadvantage.
-
I suspect, the game plan for the first half was, pace yourself, keep the score close, and avoid foul trouble. Mission accomplished. We might see a more aggressive team in the 2nd half.
-
A bit off topic, but this seems to be the thread getting the most attention at the moment. A simple reminder. Girls play Purdue today at 1:00 on BTN.

Maddie Simon is another player that peaked early. As HB pointed out, point guard has been an issue for a long time. Thank goodness for Haiby.

Basically, I made the comment because the buck stops at his desk. But, more in depth, has he provided direction, expectations, and support for the WBB program to succeed? He is the person with supposed extensive Power 5 level expertise on running an athletic department. The WBB staff does not have that experience. It sounds like Amy and staff have done some different things this past off season, including seeking out suggestions from John Cook. Could Moos have used other resources, within the athletic department, to give her a boost? Was she given all the resources needed for recruiting? If yes, why are we playing with 7 active players? Why are we recruiting kids with injuries? Why have we not had a roster with 15 scholarship kids, even once in 5 years? Questionable roster management has been apparent for awhile. I have no answers. Just high hopes for a successful WBB program.
-
I understand. These questions do seem to get raised frequently. I think most in the forum like Amy, and don't want to get overly critical. Yet, many have a level of doubt. Are we making progress? If I could change my vote in this poll (I picked 'other'), I think I'd go with recruiting. Quality of players, quantity of players, need for development, and ability to execute Xs and Os, all could be improved if recruiting was at a higher level.
-
To me, all of the choices except injury, translate to the coaches. Recruiting? Coaching. Development? Coaching. Xs and Os? Coaching. Program management? Isn't that coaches? One could argue, our injury situation is partially caused by recruiting individuals with existing injuries, or history of injuries. Again, coaching. I'm not hammering on Amy. The poll is slanted in this direction.
-
I selected other. One vote wasn't enough. If program management includes coaching, I would lean that direction. They are responsible for recruiting, player development, and the X's and O's. Regarding program management, not sure you can give AD Moos a pass either.

Resignation..... The acceptance of something undesirable, but inevitable...... Girls might not win many this year. But, I'll be watching. In this crappy year of 2020+, I'll be entertained by the Lady Huskers, win or lose. Love the effort. Applaud Kate for the time and energy she's given us for 4 years. Izzy and Haiby belong in the BIG. Craven is getting better every game. The kid from Grand Island epitomizes our history of walk-ons. Sure could use a couple of kids to get healthy. Ruby and Trinity will hold their own, when they return. For this year, guess I'll abide by the Memorial Stadium quote. Not the victory but the action; Not the goal but the game; In the deed the glory

Our girls have to be exhausted. I know, they would have taken me out on a stretcher by now (when I was in somewhat shape).
-
Not much to say. We play in a Power 5 conference, and parade out 7 bodies for a conference game. I'm sure all 7 were instructed not to foul. Hard to be aggressive under those conditions. Shawn Eichorst doesn't work here any more. This staff is in year 5. Why don't we have a full roster? Invite some walk-ons, if you can't convince scholarship worthy recruits to come to Lincoln.
-
Stewart was just run over on a loose ball, under the bucket. We came up with it. Only fair.
-
Kids are hanging in there. I like Stewart. She's aggressive. Has strong hands.
-
Announcer just mentioned, we are going with 7 players today? Yikes. Be careful with the fouls, Kate.
-
Any word on Ruby or Trinity? We could sure use some minutes from them today.
-
Even if healthy, not sure she was built for the rough and tumble BIG.
