  1. talk about making a bad choice. that's got to be the last spot on the bench.
  2. with all due respect... I really don't see that nor do I think UNLs season stats back that up. NU was ready, they were in their house, they have a size and speed advantage. Their fundamentals looked poor and there wasnt a ton of help coming off the bench or from the staff. With a victory over OU and Nebraska combined with a neutral and road loss there is no way Vegas gives NU that respect. Creighton was far smarter on the court and much more efficient. I will take Vegas all day, everyday over Creighton guy posting on a Husker Message board for some reason. Vegas numbers tell the story. It is my background, and I know it to be true. Not debateable. Vegas deals in hypothetical bets? I'd like to see that line. Sounds debatable to me.

Am I ok to put Tulsa in the Sweet 16? No, not at all, I don't have them in mine. Didn't say it was a good loss, just a road loss. WSU whipped them like a red headed stepchild. The Ole Miss loss I don't think will be a bad loss, they looked legit. Tulsa was an experienced team that was on the losing end for three years (by good margins), it was a huge game for their seniors, who came out focused. CU had their worst game of the year, personally, I thought they were a team without a leader or identity. I think I will feel that way several more times this year come Big East play (#2 in RPI this morning).

  5. Said the same thing, this was just like Oklahoma of the 70's with football. Also a friend of might said at half time they were just exhausted from all that has happened in Nebraska Sports this last week. i have been looking for that post, I thought of it during the game. I think it has merit. Was hoping they would show the intro or at least a clip of it before the second half to gage it. A ton of the spotlight got stollen by the coaching hire, I'm sure the players noticed the lack of attention during "Creightonhateweek" or whatever they called it.
  6. Good call on let TERRAN gets his and stop Shavon. It worked. Better team won tonight. thanks. #class
  7. IMO the fans were pulled into the hype, it was talked about for a years that NU was going to blow them out once Dougie and crew graduated. Creighton kept it close, kept the crowd out of it. If NU could have pulled ahead by double digits in the second half the roof would have come off the joint. Self imposed pressure on the fan base. It kind of tightened the teams play. Again imho.
  8. Good game. The Jays played tough. Hope NU has a great season.
  9. Lock down Shields, let Pettaway get his, make him the only factor, the Jays sneak out of Lincoln with the W.
  10. I hardly think the nation is "shocked.". I don't think the nation gives a rats ass about Creighton basketball if the horrific ratings the dumpster fire version of the Big East got last year on FS1 can be used as a guide. This was with a guy regarded as the best in the nation(even though he wasn't). The nation doesn't know or care that the Jays have some replacement three point shooters. Are you okay? Yeah why wouldn't I be? Are you? You are the guy that is a Creighton fan posting on the Nebraska message board. So obviously you have a few screws loose. And acting like the nation is shocked about Creighton's three point shooting is insane. So you are the one people should be concerned about being okay. Oh, okay. Yeah man I'm fine. This has been a much better than expected start for the Creighton basketball program. And for the Big East too! With Nova's wins against VCU and Michigan, Providence going 2-0 against ACC teams, and Butler's upset of UNC last night I think the conference has made a lot of the media types think about how quickly they dug a grave for the league last season. Because the tone of almost every single one of your posts addressed to me comes off as incredibly adversarial and toxic, I just wanted to make sure there was no bad blood between us Small sample size of early season games. Good start nonetheless though. It will inflate the Big East RPI all year. But when push comes to shove come the important time of the year, the same things will likely happen. They won't be able to match up with the big boys. Even the 2nd best in the Big East got destroyed when it matterd by high mid pack Big 12 school. Since the conference has little credibility, I would be rooting like hell for it in these early season affairs if I were you as well. So then you can say, wow look at our conference RPI. It is so good. Smart people don't fall for that garbage. I know what is what. I rely on Vegas numbers. And the conference, while off to a good start is not an elite league. I love that Creighton is rated. While one of the most absurd things I have ever seen in any ranking, it will look good when Nebraska gets them pretty easily. Vegas knows whats up. We will be heavily favored and will win the game easily. interesting perspective.
  11. It's very early. Neither NU or CU have hit their respective strides yet. I think both will be bouncing in and out of top 25 for a while. Good signs for both programs. Both teams being top 50 helps the equation for latter in the year and gives the rivalry some meaningful and needed bite.
  12. Didn't Miles recruit Hansen? I know he was in on Kreklow. I think Hegner visited Lincoln as well.
  13. Unfortunate reality IMO is no matter if he stays or goes the Huskers are years from being a top tier team again. Either settling for what has become the new reality or giving the needed time to a new staff.
  14. The other thing I would say is, I've watched more pro ball this year than I have in the last decade and it is really tough to watch. I think I'm getting old. Like so much else today its based upon "me" over "team".
