Seems like officiating, in general, is poor, in Both Men's and Women's.

Game Recap: https://huskers.com/news/2023/1/1/womens-basketball-nebraska-at-no-4-indiana.aspx Speaking of Iowa, we'd better hope the officiating crew for our upcoming game 1/28 is Not the Same as for Indiana.

ALMOST!!! (but sadly, no cigar )

We had our chances to Win but couldn't quite pull it off. I'm impressed with the team, and the young players showing their moxie. The game should really never have been that close - with even officiating in the first 4 quarters we win! FT shooting discrepancy 30 - 9. Fouls 10-21 (and that over and above the other missed calls) Indiana is # 4? (as Tommy Prothro might have said: "Fourth? They aren't even 44th!) Indiana better hope the same officials referee all their games

Tough Loss Ladies, You played the #4 team down to the Wire, going down to defeat in OT! PROUD OF YOUR EFFORT HANGING IN THERE TO THE END!!! FINAL:

Nebraska end its a travel. Same thing at the Indiana end is a non-call travel, but a (shooting) foul. Free throw discrepancy is #18 for Indiana, vs. 4 for Huskers. This reminds me of another game where there was an outrageous foul discrepancy; Iowa as I remember. Indiana is ranked #4? Do they have the same set of officials following them game to game.

If there is a silver lining it is that other players will have to step-up. I think we saw a little of that in Callin Hake's play and Kendall Moriarity tonight. They will of necessity get more minutes and opportunities to improve their games than they otherwise would have. The player I'd like to see improve their game is Kendall Coley - I think she will get the chance. Post-Game Press Conferences Coach Amy Williams (6:13) Jaz Shelley & Callin Hake (3:02)

Good player, but a bit of a Hot-head. Maybe that's part of the reason why she never became a starter for us. Of the two best players in her class, we retained the better team-mate and player (Sam Haiby).

Matt Coatney just said that attendance was 8,150 tonight (Tim Milhouse (Matt's producer) said this is the 22nd highest attendance for a Husker WBB game). WAY TO GO FANS!!!
