What a win is something we can all agree with. Incredible to get a win against a name program(although obviously down a bit) while not playing all that well. We have not played our best basketball yet. That is the encouraging part. Miles knows better than I do, what defense we need to be playing when. I just hope we improve our zone a bit:) The main thing is the kids have bought in on that end. They are giving the effort in all defensive systems.

We were not playing zone though the entire half were we? I could be mistaken but seemed to me the best stretch of defense we played in the 2nd half was man to man? Seemed like the zone was getting killed early on in 2nd half(we were somehow shrinking lead despite it) and then we went to it late in the half with more success. But Ohio St came storming back against it. I don't think we used it much against Minny either. Seems to me, that we have gotten torched by it. And I could certainly be wrong, but that is how it seems to me. And this is coming from a guy that believes in zones if played properly. I think we have the pieces to have a good zone team, I just don't think we have played a good zone this year yet.

I hate the zone we play. It let Ohio st. back in game and got us off to a horrid start again tonight in 2nd half. We have to learn to play it better if we are going to continue to use it.

Yeah it is a bummer we couldn't catch them while they are in a bit of a tailspin. Something tells me the defense will be restored by the time we get them. Although not as athletic and as difference making bigs on defense this year.

My goodness Norm. Only worry about Michigan. If you don't, it will somehow affect our chances of winning that game and certainly impact our thoughts on the importance of that one.

The Big East is just as good as the Big Ten is what I am seeing our incredibly stupid Creighton friends saying. Do they even know anything about basketball? Seriously, how stupid can you be to make a comment like that. They are taking the little brother complex to extreme measures. It is also awesome that they have that little brother complex so bad that they cannot handle understanding that us winning helps them. It is epic that we are having a little run, since many of them hate us more than they even like themselves. Lets keep pissing on their parade.

Agree with a lot of it, however Indiana did play hard and pretty well on defense. They mucked the game up on the road a bid, which can be a recipe for success, similar to us at Penn St until we pissed it away. Both teams played pretty hard. It meant something to both clubs. So the effort was there. Two young clubs so there are going to be some moments of poor basketball. And I agree it was not a beauty contest, nor did I ever think the potential was there for it to be one.

Was so happy Miles put him in there. That was who I thought should be the natural replacement for Biggs minutes. Mentioned that in the locked Biggs thread. We have a big hole. He has a lot of potential. Parker and Rivers do not really. It is his time to step up. How much he does will be a big key in how we do the rest of the way. One for one as he did not make any mistakes and hit a huge shot to tie the game. He was not very confident out there, and hopefully that changes. We need him. He gives us a threat to score.

Taking NU + Unders = Getting paid. Under was a big one for me. But not enough so that I was ever rooting against us to score. Great win.

Upsets happen. They played way over their heads in a couple games. Doesn't mean it is expected to continue going forward. Vegas certainly in agreement. Easily the worst club in the league.

Come on Norm!! You know better. If you look at entire schedule this afternoon, that somehow affects tonight's game. It makes it less important, and the team will have a worse chance at picking up the win tonight.

Yeah NU got a little money and the under getting the money, in large part due to me. Down from 140 to 137.

I have an initial bad feeling about this for some reason. The last couple home games was an easy NU bet for me. This one is more 50-50. Part of the reason is that for some reason, I haven't seen Indiana play that much this year. Something tells me the under will be the play, but that line won't be out for a bit. We need to win this game.

Not sure what following the other league action has to do with anyone not being concerned about the Indiana game tomorrow.

It is amazing some of the games they have won. They are still easily the worst team IMO. Certainly nobody I would rather play if we had to get a win in the league.

Like I said if you'll believe Damon when he talked about Bigg's personal issue, then you also have to give credibility to what he is saying about SE involvement. Yeah it is rather silly to speculate on Eichorst doing anything wrong at this point. And if he did play a role in the dismissal then so be it. He is in charge of athletics here last I knew.
