We are playing Penn State in our Big Ten Conference Championship game. Have not played them this year. They have beat some good teams in the Big Team, Michigan, Illinois and Ohio State. Will be a tough game. GBR

Bracket for for Big Ten Softball Tournament. Like our side of the bracket. We didn't play Illinois this year. Will be interesting to see if we can beat them assuming higher seeds when their games. Not sure how Michigan got the fourth seed when they finished fifth in the league. They are the hottest team right now. Northwestern will have their hands full if they play each other. https://bigten.org/sports/2022/5/5/22SBTournament.aspx GBR They actually finished tied for fourth. Big Ten was slow to update standings.

The lady Huskers finished the season in second place in the Big Ten.
-
Huskers win, Huskers win, Huskers win, Huskers win, 5-4
-
Bases load, one out.

Billie Andrews hit her 19th home run of the season. She is now 3rd all time for home runs in a season.
-
Ist and 3rd, one out
-
4 -4 bottom of the eight. We need this win.

This team is unbelievable. They swept Minnesota 3 - 0 this weekend scoring 29 runs and 36 hits. Shut them out the first two games. The third game, Huskers were down 8 - 1 after the top of the third inning and came back to win 11 - 8. 18 game win streak. Still not rated in the polls but this may change after this weekend. Does the lack of being ranked sound familiar? GO BIG RED.

Billie has been stalled at 17 home runs for a while. Teams are not pitching to her. In one three game series, she was walked 10 out of 11 at bats. Her 17 home runs puts her tied for 5 place with most home runs in a season. The team is playing very well right now. Their two two pitchers are super seniors and have been pitching well as of late. Actually Ferrel is a super senior, Wallace is a senior and can come back next year.

Bella Cravens has also put her name in the transfer pool
Tinpanalley replied to Redhac's topic in Row 6 Seat 10
I am with 12dozen in that I did not think she would play another year at Nebraska but also did not think she would play for another university. In past interviews that she gave, she stated that she really did not like playing basketball all that much until she started playing for the Big Red. Either way, I thank her for her time at Nebraska and wish her the best where ever she goes. -
This does not surprise me. I think there will be a couple more young ladies who decide to transfer, especially if we are able to obtain a couple of quality transfers to come to Nebraska. Competition for playing time could get tough. Regarding Ruby's specific situation could simply be home sick. It must be tough having your family and support system a half a world away. Wish her well and hope she is able to continue her basketball career in her native country. GBR

Biilie continues to dominate on the softball field. She ranks first nationally with 14 home runs this season and she is already tied for 10th placed for the most home runs by a husker in a season. The lady Huskers still have 32 games left this year. The all time record by a lady husker in a season is 22 home runs by Ali Viola in 1998. It will be fun to see how she does for the remaining part of the season. GBR

Wish I lived in the Lincoln area. Sounds like a fun event to attend. GBR

One word. Entitlement. There are some on the left who think they can do what ever they want without consequences.

Only an idiot would try to smuggle drugs in Russia.

If we don’t start making our threes we will be in trouble
-
Make that 12 home runs in 17 games
-
Half way there. It’s our turn now. GBR
-
Shelley is now leading the team in scoring and Cravens is leading the team in facial bleeding, ouch.
-
We have another Nebraska young lady who is dominating on the softball field. She is a graduate of Gretna high school. She has 11 home runs in 16 games thus far and has a .462 batting average. It is extremely encouraging to see our Nebraska athletes doing well in their respective sport. GBR

We will have are hands full with this game. Would love to see us play Indiana tomorrow.
-
One of the best games I have seen the Lady Huskers play, especially with all the foul trouble. We would not have won if it wasn’t for the excellent play by Annika Stewart. Wonder if the Michigan coach thinks we will be selected for the ncaa tournament

With Trev Alberts saying it is an HR issue and that they can not say anything about it says it all. It is unbelievable to me that an individual would put their career and marriage / family in jeopardy by interacting inappropriately with a player he coaches. If you are going to engage in that type of behavior, at least be smart enough to not do it at work.
