Petra Bozan - Croatia - Forward Center - Signed
Tinpanalley replied to KarlHessEatMy....'s topic in Row 6 Seat 10
I whole heartedly agree. We finally got another big but we had to go half way around the world to get her. Welcome aboard Petra. -
If it were me, I would have Included Love in the law suit. Understand going after the University as they have deep pockets but Love is the one who took advantage of her. I would go after him for every penny he has. Attorney fees only would most likely bankrupt him.

If the story is total BS on how Coach Williams and the University responded, the University can sue the author of the article and use that money to Ashley.
-
If half of the information is correct regarding how Coach Williams handle the situation, her job could be in serious jeopardy. It should be easy to verify as the whole team was present for the meeting. Even though Ashley was an adult and may have consented in the relationship, Love had power and control over her and she is the victim in my opinion. And I am about as conservative as they come. It is never okay for a coach to engage in sexual activity with a member of the team. It amazes me that people think they can get away with developing this type of relationships. Even District Attorneys are not immune to total stupidity.

Natalie Potts- Freshman of the Week
Tinpanalley replied to KarlHessEatMy....'s topic in Row 6 Seat 10
What is most impressive is her field goal shooting percentage. She is shooting at a .653 % on all field goal attempts and .77% on two point field goal attempts. -

Natalie Potts- Freshman of the Week
Tinpanalley replied to KarlHessEatMy....'s topic in Row 6 Seat 10
It is early in her career, but Natalie’s play reminds me a lot of Emily Cady. At this early stage she is not as good of a rebounded as Emily was in her freshmen season but Natalie could improve in this area as the season moves along. I hope Natalie play progresses to the level that Emily played at as I think Emily was one of the Huskers all time great women’s basketball players. -
On June 17th, 2022 you stated in Potts' thread that she is "a power forward we need". We do not lose any of our bigs this year but yet we "need" this one for next year. Confusing.
-
The problem is not Maggie. Coach Williams should have brought in a transfer player that could play forward or center.
-
Major blow to our team. Don't foresee her coming back next year. Wishing her the best for her recovery. GBR

Former Husker Anna DeForge Hired as Milwaukee Asst. Coach.
Tinpanalley replied to Tinpanalley's topic in Row 6 Seat 10
Looked at the women's basketball career records. She graduated in 1998 and she is still number 8 in career scoring, number 7 in career rebounds, number 9 in career assists, number 7 in career steals and tied for number 7 in career 3 point field goals made. Very impressive career. -

Looks like Norte Dame may have shot themselves in the foot. Heard their football TV contracts is only worth 15 million and they get their share of non football revenue from the ACC contract. They would be at least making double if not triple that money in the Big Ten. -
Anna has been hired by the Milwaukee Panthers women's basketball program as an assistant coach. She was a two time WNBA Allstar during her 8 years WNBA career. She also played several years professionally overseas. She is regarded as one of the best all-around players in Nebraska history and is in the top ten on several Nebraska Women's Basketball records. Wonder if she was given any consideration when we had an assistant opening. Although she appears to have good recruiting credentials based on her professional playing experience, she may not have the relationships built up with high school coaches throughout the US. https://mkepanthers.com/news/2022/6/30/womens-basketball-rechlicz-adds-anna-deforge-to-staff.aspx

It will be interesting to see what Norte Dame does. I would imagine they will need to do something fairly soon regarding football. They may be stuck with the ACC for all other sports if they signed the ACC television contract. It would be nice to add them to our women's basketball conference play. -

Reports the USC and UCLA are joining the Big Ten. Travel will get expensive and time consuming when playing teams on both coast. https://247sports.com/college/nebraska/Article/USC-UCLA-planning-to-leave-Pac-12-for-Big-Ten-according-to-multiple-reports-189450704/?utm_source=247Sports%20Newsletter&utm_medium=Newsletter&utm_campaign=220630_131633_NebraskaCornhuskers&utm_content=Link&eid=9a7a0394f6f0c6e9b0d20f1caa205aa68c97fe9974614dcf0f450446c4ed4a29 -
Nebraska women's basketball team received a Friday night commitment from 2023 recruit Natalie Potts, a 6-foot-2 forward from Incarnate Word (Missouri) High School. She averaged 19.3 points and 8.6 rebounds last season. looks like a good recruit in a needed position
-
No Husker ties but family ties as Jessica coached with Amy’s sister. Wish the article would have addressed the coaching roles she will assume.
-
Wonder what is taking so long to hire an assistant coach. The only league currently playing is the WNBA and that regular season does not end until the end of July. You would think Coach Williams would want her full staff on board before the women start their summer workouts.
-
This was a good season for the lady huskers but did not end on a good note. The ladies where unable to get hits in the regionals. On a good note Billie Andrew’s got her 20th home run for the season. Only the third lady Husker to hit 20 in a season. Congrats for a job well done.

Still think this team is one really good player away from having a chance to win the Big Ten. We need to power froward can be perform statistically a little better than Bella did last year that is an experienced good scorer and rebounder or a center and have Alexis play both center and forward. Just don't think Isabella and Alexis is enough to carry us to a championship. If Maggie was playing basketball full time that may have been enough but she can't even practice with the team until the volleyball season is over (hopefully after the final four). I am not discounting what Annika and Kendall C. can contribute but I don't see one of them averaging 10 points and 8 rebounds a game. I think we have the guard players to get us there. Need to strike when the iron is hot, never know when you will get another chance. With players transferring so freely, a team can drastically change in a given year. I am really disappointed that the coach has not brought in a quality big. She might have tried and couldn't land the commitment. Hope I am wrong and the current players can win a Big Ten championship. I am starving for the Lady Huskers to win one.
-
The Husker pitchers, Courtney Wallace and Oliva Ferrel are to be commended for their excellent pitching during the whole tournament. We would not have won the Championship if they hadn't preformed so well. Michigan had runners on third base multiple times during this game and did not score. One time with no out. It's a great feeling to beat Michigan all three times this year. Winning the Championship and coming in second place during the regular season should gives us an excellent seating in the NCAA Tournament. Hopefully a second seed with a weaker first seed. Don't think our strength of schedule will gives us a first seed. Also think a third seed would be unjust but Nebraska rarely seems to get national respect so who knows where we will end up. I have been following women's softball for a long time and did not see this success coming. Basically the same team that finished in the bottom half of the Big Ten last year minus one of our all time best players, Kristen Edwards. GBR
