Not too worried about this one. I remember all the kicking and screaming when the Yankees signed Catfish Hunter as the first free agent. MLB was going down the tubes. Those with money would rule everything. Now, those with money have a better chance, but that's the way it is in all walks of life. Huskers will be fine. We can play the game.

Somehow, this got lost in the shuffle of my life. I should have posted about it a few days ago. Founding Moody Blues member and part of Paul McCartney and Wings Denny Laine passed away at age 79. Very talented. I just came across this video (that's what Standhardinger said). Don't read anything into the song title. No subliminal messages. May he rest in peace!

Don't recognize the player or the uniform. The gym looks like Hordville, but I don't remember windows in that gym. All I know the acoustics were horrible and that place was loud. The only other possibilities are Marquette, Bradshaw and the piece of crap gym in Monroe. By the looks of the people in the stands, I'm guessing this had to be in the late 60's to very early 70's. I believe it was 1972, Hampton got new uniforms which had the number inside a circle with a vertical stripe running through it. Did the Baltimore Bullets have that jersey? Anyway, thanks for the walk down memory lane!

Are you kidding me? I'm not knocking my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, he did give us the gift of so-called humor... 4 reasons why Jesus would win national coach of the year award every year. 1) He resurrected a dead man after 4 days in the grave. Resurrecting Husker basketball is a piece of cake. 2) Wine would come out of every drinking fountain at PBA. Full house every game. 3) Free fish sandwiches. All the wine and food you can eat on the house, and finally, 4) He cast a legion of demons into a herd of bluejays. And my answer to the original question is yes, I think Hoiberg will be the head coach next season. Don't know why, don't know if it's justified, I guess we'll see in the next few weeks. And as always, GBR!
